I have been using thinkpads 5 models in last 10 years since they were IBM. Now i am using T410 and I don't see much issues that we gonna compare with IBM in the past because thinkpads products are still the best in market for business purpose and reliability aspect. I tried to find other brand and i don't see which one can fulfill those objectives.
I appreciate with their continuous improvement for new products, like W series. It is awesome that I expect to own it somedays.
@fragough Its a year old video, now with the new Sandy Bridge CPUs we will see a refresh of the whole Lenovo lineup which should bring 1-2 USB3.0 ports. Some of the Models wont be refreshed until April though from what I have heard
@Windows2000FanBoy In 2005, the Chinese manufacturer Lenovo purchased the ThinkPad brand from IBM in a five-year deal, whereby IBM still helps in the marketing and support of these products.
@Windows2000FanBoy Although your comment isn't worth this reply, I'm going to do it anyways because of your grand display of complete ignorance. If you had the slightest hint of intelligence in your retarded self, you'd have known that Lenovo bought IBM's ThinkPad brand of computers many years ago. Next time, do you research before you attempt to sound intelligent.
@hybridindian who cares? whats important is that the laptop is quality that works, that is what IBM does best and not these new shitty laptops that breaks!!! i had a dell and lenovo and they both broke, screw new shitty laptops the old IBM will always be the best.
ThinkPads are indeed the finest laptops with absolute reliability and top-class build quality. One can use a ThinkPad to drive nails into maple wood and still have it doing its job like nothing happened. My ThinkPad X61 has endured snow, rain, immense heat, multiple drops and still forges on with its legendary prowess and has never disappointed me. Ever. Anyone else? btw, I own a MacBook Pro too. It's awesome.
@DoReMiForever I have a ThinkPad and it is just over spectacular solid performance! Everyday I find another reason to fall in love with it again and again. It has a 128GB SSD and i dont hear any clicks, and its build quality is really solid. Just because maybe you cant afford it doesnt make it garbage.
@farestabs well yes, back in 2007 I buy a T60 and the sound was bad even if I put other speakers to it so I send it back to the store and got other T60 this one had the same problem and later the harddrive got broken
@DoReMiForever Wow thats bad but now it has been almost 4 years since that happened and i bet the company has gained alot of experience from thier mistakes and in my T410 the sound is good even though the ThinkPad line isnt a multimedia laptop but a business tool. And im not sure whether or not the t60 model had a roll cage for HD but this one has and i dont think i will have any hard drive problems :)
@DoReMiForever I think the t410s and other models as well offer windows xp do the reasearch cuz it will pay off. I'm happy my friend recommended this t410 for me because before that i had no idea what thinkpad was and would have never made this choice if i didnt :)
@thosepeoples i customized a t510 with i5 processor, 320gb 7200rpm hd, intel hd graphics(because i need it for business and battery life, not games), intel centrino 6200, 9 cell, trackpad, nav, fingerprint reader, and more all for under 950 right now on sale on the site
Confused... 'My finest'... What was that about? Gives NO useful info.

At least Lenovo has not radically changed the Thinkpad line, that would have been disastrous.

Nah, Lenovos are over-rated. I've had a couple & they were prone to errors.

what you get is a waste of money, frist of all, the harddrivers in new thinkpad's makes clicking sounds and will break down.
I needed a new laptop so I buy a used IBM Thinkpad T40 from 2003 thats not lenovo
and I do not want Windows 7
Lenovo killed IBM
Get a life!!
