Okay.. You need to take almost everything out of that bass drum.. One, it looks bad, especially with an acrylic kit. And two that is way too much muffling. Completely pointless unless you're using triggering which is pointless anyway for a lot of applications

I DO know how acrylic drums sound. Yes, I'm aware of the resonance and how loud they are, but I still don't believe that it takes that much to kill enough of it

@ItsShredTime I drum whenever i have free time so be it 4pm or 4am i wanna be able to drum and to do that i need to mute it that much, ive tried all mutes and got complaints, ive tried only filling it half way and got complaints so i tried full of shit and i finally didnt get any complaints so im cool with it. Either way now i use a jazz mapex orion kit in my room and i only have to full the 18in bass drum like half way so idk anyway, its been fun arguing!

to answer your question, it completely blows it out of the water for me. I worked at a drum store and use the axis pedal alot and its super fast and light. The DW 8000 long board feels better, just as fast and doesn't feel super light like the axis. Its like everything else in the 8000 series, heavy duty, feels secure and FUCKING AWESOME

i prefer the 8000, i use a 9000 at two of my studios but im swapping them out for the 8000 long boards, it just feels better to me.
