I'm a rancher, farmer and hunter. I've slaughtered cattle all my life. I think the method of shooting one animal in front of the other is rather cruel. Seeing their herd mates killed in front of them is cruel. I've killed several at a time, but I always take great care to separate them first. It may take a few more minutes but we owe them that much. Also, why shoot from so far away? Why not pen them up and shoot from point-blank so as to avoid any possible error in the kill.

Via walmart , stop n shop any grocer. Farmers sometimes choose to kill their own cows because the meat is the freshest and taste alot better from a fresh kill . They could have a room where the animals are petted nicely maybe...Then after the severe hurting maybe they could pet them again, but maybe just pet around where the blood might be...or they could put a tube in there to take away the blood during the severe hurting. Then they could even pet them longer, or maybe pet them even where some of the red blood may be.
