@jtschid0910 In the UK they typically spawn from around May-July and need a temperature around 16-22 C sustained over a varying number of days (typically 7-14 days) multiple spawning is common.
Spawning carp are not interested in feeding but post spawning do feed well. I wouldn't say you would be fed up with fish on the bank though bit of a over statement dude!
well it depends where you fishin. if you fishin a venue thats rammed with fish, then yeah you got a better chance of catchin more, and in my past experience after they finished spawnin they gobble the food and when you catchin all the time, you get to a point where you get fed up of catchin em, thats all i meant
generally a bad idea to fish for them when there spawnin because they dont feed much, best to fish a couple of days after theyve finished and you will be fed up of seein fish on the bank. tight lines
im sure you didnt intend on fishin for them when spawning, and thats the best thing to do, when i havent had a bite for a while and i notice spawning behaviour, the rods are straight back in the holdall and bivvy packed up :)
saw this today, got no bites watsoever :(

We didn't purposely go and fish for them whilst they were spawning?! lol!
They just happened to start spawning during a ten day session - as soon as we felt it safe, we reeled in, packed-up and left them to it :-)
