It is obvious he has deliberately avoided Russia's abiotic oil and gas industries, Uralmash which is Russia's factory of factories. He avoided talking the

untouched Siberian mineral resources, the fact is in one region, less than 1% has barely been exploited thought thoroughly surveyed geologically. He evaded talking about the potential of the BAM infrastructure network because BAM has the potential to avoid a Soviet collapse if given enough time to fully develop industrially these regions!

Russia's problems were created by people by the likes of George Soros, Jim Rogers, and other foreign financial oligarchs who took advantage of the confusion during the disintegration of the former Soviet Union with help from corrupt local oligarchs and oligarchs-to-be. Russia survived nightmare of the 1990ties when the crisis affected only Russia while the rest of the world was in good shape so there is no reason for Jim Rogers to be worried and concerned. Unlike his country which is not ethnically homogeneous Russia has +85% of ethnic Russians equipped with nukes and missiles and plenty of natural resources. Russia doesn't have the most oil but it may have the most resources like mineral and wood yet most of Russia is covered in perma frost and getting to the resources would not be economical in the long run with out western assistance.

I live in Russia. Unfortunately a lot of things that he talked about are true. Our government has been stripping our economy for years and they have not been investing much into it. I think that we are headed to the good old days. The borders are going to close, capital won't be alowed to leave the counrty. Otherwise Russia will continue to disentegrate.

The oligarchs are not investing their capital in Russia. They are investing their money abroad. Foreign investors have not come to Russia in the last 15 years of open free economy. Investments would be too risky and not very profitable. Foreign companies do sell their products in Russia but they don't make them here. They sell their products and then don't invest any money here in Russia. Capital, both domestic and foreigh is leaving the country.
