  • This might be my favorite song of all time!

  • The language of the heart :)

  • God I love real talent. Magix.

  • Thumbs Up if this song gives you chills

  • thats is only in the () album they might sprinkle some hoplandic every now and then in some of the albums but this is one of the full songs in hoplandic

  • 2: 28 :')

  • Beautiful!!!

  • NICE AND SMOOTH SOUNDS THANKS SMOOTH SAILING

  • Sigur Rós all the time in my mind.

  • it is a language, its called hopelandic :D

  • great artists! great music! great country!

  • wow. this version is breathtaking. i mean, everything they do is.. but to hear an older track redone like this.. is just amazing.

  • Dal sorriso lievemente accennato della ragazza che assiste si può ben comprendere quanta e quanta magia fuoriesca da ogni poro di questa band, che con pochi mezzi, e con poche(o talvolta nessuna) parole, riescono a toccare profondamente ciò che c'è di più recondito in ognuno di noi.

  • Greatest band ever, this band litterally changed the way I look at music.

  • good music, nice video.

  • excellent and sweet song... i like Sigur Ros...thanks 4 your music from Perú.

  • for what its worth, only this record a few tracks on some of the other records are gibberish, the rest is icelandic.

  • oh my got what a music

    awesome

  • 1:18

That word - What does that mean, he sings it in many of his songs?

  • @DKDennis1 it means nothing. He sings in made up language

  • this is what I call music!.

  • i just can't describe their melody... it's more than unique..

  • one of the best bands ever

  • I envy you. Just pure envy. Great video. Much appreciation. Always loved that song.

  • dude wat does he say???????someone tell me please?????

    I love the song

  • its not a language, ive seen it referred to as hopelandic or glossolalia (google).

  • he doesn't saying anything. its sigur ros language a bit like the old Cocteau Twins just sounds great

  • hes not saying anything, the song is in hopelandic which means instead of lyrics he just repeats phrases, or thereabouts :)

  • NICE FUCKIN MUSTACHE

  • the best moustache i have ever seen

  • absolutely love it! is he speaking an actual language, or is it for real some mixture of "fairytale stuff" ?

  • It's a fantasy language called Hopelandic. It's sounds a bit like Icelandic but it's not. In the album "( )" all tracks are in Hopelandic.

  • thanks for that...its such a beautiful sound.

  • beautiful

  • I like the fact that we can make our own lyrics out of this beautiful soundscape...al you writers out there, try it...play some Sigur Ros for interpretation, just make sure you don't go to far LOL, like Your eyes closed, see, I was thinking that too.....But I've wrote some damn good shit doing that, most notably my "translation" of Olsen Olsen......

  • i love it

  • genial!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the words of sigur ros are no real language, they made up their own kind of "fairy-tale-fantasy-language"

  • there is no made-up-language, its just sounds!

  • But he calls it Hopelandic.

  • no, its not a language at all. he is just making up sounds. like jonsi said "its just bullshit". just sounds that fits well with the music. it has no meaning at all.

  • no meaning at all right but he said that u can fill in the blanks so its open to interpret and making it a fairy tale language kinda suits sigur ros and iceland too

  • @gosuyun Actually a lot of it is Icelandic, but they just make sounds for a lot of songs...with no meaning, not even a fairy-tale one. They call it "Hopelandic".

  • @gosuyun its a language the lead singer (i forget his name sorry) invented called hopelandic where instead of singing lyrics and using the words to get a message across you use your voice as an instrument to add a different sound to the song

  • @gosuyun The band refer to their language as "Hopelandic" - Great word, great song, great band!

Sigur Ros are like the Beatles and Radiohead...Orchestrated and highly talented, a very rare thing these days in music.

  • @gosuyun However, they are sounds that repeat. There is a "phrase" of sorts that is repeated throughout the ( ) album. Repetition and pattern suggests language. BUT, it doesn't have to have meaning the way that we like to use words as symbols to represent meanings, instead you apply your own meaning to the sounds you hear.

  • beautiful soulful music,i think in the begining hes saying something which sounds like "YOURS EYES ARE SO DRY"

  • at 2:17 the drums don't make any sound...? for sure it's not playback but could it be edited afterwards?

  • he's just so soft with it thats all

  • I'm happy not having a clue of what they´re saying.

    :)

    Super!

  • Awesome!

  • sehr gut gemacht
