2D or not doing an actual 2D remake of OOT or MM would take years for a programmer of one.

Heck recreating Super Mario Brothers 1 in C++ and SDL takes around 2-3 weeks for an experenced programmmer.

My mindset on the matter is, your not paying me so I don't have do anything for you.

Its a very general motto but the rule can be applied to most situations.
