@putampoco Mate first you make it White like he did than feather selection(if not selection right click inside the white and click"make selection" than go 'select' -'modify'-'feather' ) so you make selection smaller and now fill it with black. Layer should be rasterized. you can see all this in his Video

for those who didnt understand how to change the "color" around 2:00 ( just like me :P) i found an alternative, keep the leaf selected and duplicate the layer fill it with black and apply gaussian blur and merge the layers

You just change the colure inside the leaf. if you please it you may instead use the shortkey ALT+BackSpace to colure the inside of your leafshape to the top colure of your colure panel ;)

in the pen tools options- found when pen tool is selected. itsdirectly below the File Edit Image Layer etc thingie

there are some options for the pen tool and you need to select "Shape Layers"

Hi there! What version of photoshop do you have? For most versions, all you do is go to the top bar(which has File, Edit, Image, Layer, etc along it) and click on Window(which is right next to View). All the way at the bottom is the Tools. Make sure it has a check mark next to it(if not, then put one there), and voila! I dont know what to tell you though if your photoshop never came with Fill :/ I hope this helped, and hope it helps anyone else saying "wtf!" because their toolbar disappeared lol

So ik got a really easy question: I drawed a nice shape with the pen tool, but everytime i try to change the color with the paintbucket, it fills the whole background and not only the leaf.

I already tried to create aditional layers but this didn' t work.

control click the layer on PC, this might be command on MAC, I cant remember right now, this will select it, you will see the border moving, the "marching ants" . Next, Select your color and with bucket or brush you can drop color or paint, it will only paint within the border. This is how you select an "object". Clicking on the layer will not do this. Clicking on the layer will simply allow you to manipulate the ENTIRE layer

The pen tool shows up in the path folder in the layers palette, it simply makes the selection you have "pathed" out. New layers can be found in the Layers palette in the very bottom, it looks like a sheet of paper with its corner turned down, another "page" if you will, hope this helps
