the intro is so close to a video i know and i really need to know how did u do it , i mean , rotating the camera down and then going through the clouds and then the fallen down rains from then camera i tried so may times but no luck please tell me :) thanks
The beginning sky scene isn't too hard to do, though it is pretty processor intensive and has slow render times... I have sent you a PM detailing some of the settings that you need to change in trapcode particular in order to get the Cloud Plane since it would be too long to put in a comment.
like its nice you referenced the project but in cases like this you really need to state that you basically recreated the project so you could learn the process. as artists we learn this way but you cant take credit creatively.
You're a damn liar! You blatantly ripped this from Polar Dans La Ville 2007 video! The first parts are identical, then as soon as you cut into the clouds you transitioned into another, clearly substandard quality, series of clips.
How about "replicated"? I did not just download his video and use it in mine. I followed his tutorial on how to create the clouds. By him making a tutorial on how he created his animation, he is sharing his "secrets" and thus what I did was not what would be called stealing.
As I have explained, that part (the clouds in the beginning) was not taken from the actual video. I rebuilt that from scratch in After Effects.
Though I might mention that this animation was created for a school project, and was somewhat rushed, so I ended up using the same photos that Pierre did (found in his tutorial), and this would be why my animation looks nearly identical to his.
Look at the lower right corner of the screen. There should be a search box and then under it are folders (starting with animation I think). Type "Mr. Murcury" in the search box and the effect should come up. If there is no search box, make sure that your layout is set to standard.
I believe that you can also find it under Effect>>Simulation.
Thats pretty awesome, actually I'm gunna go with uber awesome. The one fault I would go with is that the Mr. Mercury rain sliding down the lens doesn't look right it doesn't change shape like running rain drops do, but I've tried this myself and I couldn't find a way to make it look realistic, I suppose there is a limit to what AE can do... Nice job.
They sort of change but only when they run into each other and "connect". I am sure there is another way to get a similar effect that would be more realistic without using Mr. Mercury...
I got a question for ya, i see you used a pretty nice shoot through the clouds effect, have you by chance have experience with looping pictures, for exampple.
I green screen a friend and I want him to run fast so i grab a picture of some random place from google and i would like it to whiz by the protagonist in the background, I could duplicate and use the transform options to fly each one by while in the background, however I guess im hoping you have a simple answer to my problem. nice video.
I have not done the effect that you are talking about myself, nor do I know a really easy way to do it.
It would depend on how busy your picture is at its sides because this could make it hard to make the picture "tilable" (meaning easily looped). One way that you could possibly hide the seam between the pictures is to put an object there to hide it such as a tree. I would kind of have to see your picture before I can explain further.
In a Kramer tutorial(3d vines), he tiles for a 3d texture.
Andrew Kramer along with Ryan Wieber have gotten me into After effects with their amazing tutorials (Ryan with his lightsaber tutorial and Kramer with all of his various skill tutorials).
I just found Pierre Michel as an amazing artist when armed with Particular, and he has showed me how amazing of a plugin it actually is.
I just simply combined skills learned from both along with my own Ice Effect and made this video.
This is excellent!

ok but the problem is that you took a part from the video, not the technique

Probably using Trapcode's Particular and a displacement map... But that would take ages.
