@donavon: No. Yuppies were the more conservative/worldy offshoots and children of grown hippies, if I'm not mistaken. Somewhere, "common sense" and pragmatism supposedly set in and they got degrees in business and finance, etc., thus succumbing to capitalism while retaining their liberal perspectives on a lot of things. It was an early/ mid-Eighties thing.

I could giggle to this, but i just can't laugh wholeheartedly to it. it's like stupid humor, 5 year old humor. i do enjoy that type of humor, but this is just ehhhh. maybe it's because i'm not canadian, who knows....
