Garrincha was the best dribbler of all time.

George Best was a very good one, a real cracking player , but he never had a chance to perform in the highest levels as Garrincha did. Unfortunately he played for Northern Ireland and ManUnited (the English league was terrible at the time). His peak was in 1968 when he won the European Cup against Benfica playing superbly. But Mane played in that level for years and years.

Garrincha was a dream player blessd with every attacking gift,dribbling&creativty aside he used to score from corner kicks too,infact he did it 4times. George on the other hand was also genuis in his own. C both hd gr8 sucess bt dey wer both mavericks. garrincha was better even though best is an absolute hero in my house.there is a clip on you tube of garrincha in the 18 yard box..he bursts in there an stops dead n then proceeds to beat 4 defenders one after another all the while they are taking huge swings at him but he makes fools of them all just because he could.while i think garrincha was the better ireally believe supatyke 1965 is on the right track..just enjoy them both.legends

Don't compare just enjoy. Best was never going to play in any World Cups because he played for Northern Ireland,who simply were not good enough.One regret is that Garrincha who was a genius does not get the recognition in the UK and Europe. Great footage of two 'Masters'.

Just say it who didn't know Garrincha good enough.. Garrincha used to dribble the whole team.. Once he dribbled all 10 field players plus the goalkeeper against Vasco in Brazil.. Just because he could.. There wasn't and isn't a best dribbler than him... That's why he's recognized as "the dribbler's king".

whereas best cuts in, goes wide, and is far quicker than garrincha.

in terms of straight up dribbling (using pure skill to beat their opponents), i'd say that best and garrincha are comparable.

On the old times, every brazilian player was playing in the brazilian league.

in brazil it was possible to find

2, 3 players like Ronaldinho Gaucho (or better) per team.People from Europe,USA don't know

Wait, totz, only three of the Garrincha´s footage are from his playing in his team Botafogo. All of the rest is him playing for Brazil against European national teams, specially Sweden, USSR and Tchekoslovakia. Garrincha prefered to play against European defenders. He said that they couldn´t move their hips.

I loved this video. I just regret that we don´t have much Stanley Matthews footage, so we could see the three greatest (and most important) dribblers of all time at the same video.

ok my bad i thought most of the clips of garrincha were from the brazilian league. thank you for informing me. that does explain alot because international football has a much slower pace. even though garrincha's dribbling in this video is impressive, it is at too slow of a pace to compare with george best. IMO you just can't compare it to dribbling at a fast pace.
