  • I'd say a "Daniel Day Louis" would be great as the lead with the same folks who did "there will be blood". that'd be great!

  • Just finished reading it. It is pretty fucking awesome. Take it from the biggest rat phobic on earth.

  • I always imagined Wilf would look like the man with the black amish hat in Secret Window. Not Johnny Depp, but the other dude. I don't know why.

  • i've finished this story,it is so great.

  • I can picture frank darabont doing a great job in this like he did with shawshank and green mile. William Sadler would play the lead.

  • i was disgusted reading the murder scene, and had to force myself to not cry after my eyes had become wet when reading what happened to henry and shan. amazing short story. stephen king, i love you!

  • I can't hear the word "snood" now without thinking of 1922 haha. Amazing collection of stories. Big Driver, 1922 and A Good Marriage were my favourites...disappointed by the ending of Fair Extension but still a good read. These trailers are ok, considering the time constraints but not so good if you've already read Full Dark..the actors are nowhere near how I imagined them in my head..

  • i bought the book recently and read the whole thing within a week or so. 1922 is best story from full dark no stars imo.

  • Hmmmm... The wife shouldn't be wearing her shoes, she was killed in bed. Later Wilf got a pair of her shoes along with some clothing into the well so people would think she run away.

  • @nyarlotep she was blackout drunk and he put her in bed with the shoes on, knowing that they were about to kill her

  • omg its just how i imagined it while reading! :)

  • Arlette was a bitch

  • wheres the snood???? and the well is not that big its a big hole in the ground!!

  • OH MAKE THEM STOP BITING M

  • Brilliant book!!hope they make 1922 into a film, id say billy bob thornton would be great as Wilf!!

  • stupid question...Is this a real movie or are are all of these fan made? Well anyways 1922 is my favorite short story, I hope it is a real movie.

  • wow i never seen this before but the way it is starting out ;got my full attention looks scary *o* "well let's see how it ends"

  • 1922, my favourite story. :D

  • what's the song? :l

  • what a great book this is the best story in it....

  • Henry, the boy had already passed out and didn't help Wilf take the cap off the well. It also would have been a nice touch to have her burlap snood stuck in her hair.

This book still gives me goosebumps just thinking about it.

  • You did that Nasty~ Thing to me so I'm gonna do a nasty thing to you. Come on down Wilf! Don't even grab a latter, show me how much you love me and jump!

  • I love Stephen King! I started collecting books of him...still its never too late to be a fan!

  • is the movie already out?

  • The ratts are so fing scary!

  • @BlissDeVille

    I know right?

This story gives me chills. It hasn't given me any nightmares, I pray it never does!

  • My God this story scares me so bad!

  • Such a dark story (and dark book as a whole) but I loved every second of it. Couldn't put it down.

  • Full Dark, No Stars is no doubt the best story collection-book of King's I've ever read. 1922 was definitely my favorite novella.... wauw....

  • To be honest, of the four stories this was probably my least favourite but it's still awesome.

  • I finished the story, but i havn't read the others, what do you recommand I SHOULD start?

  • @MrsGameRankings A Good Marriage, the last story in this quarter, is simply a MASTERPIECE period. The others are quite good.

  • This story is very hard to read.

  • This was my favorite out of the four. The ending was absolutely incredible.

  • The twist at the end made my jaw drop, Stephen King is just incredible

  • The well isn't supposed to have stone walls. Just a hole in the ground with a wood cap and stakes around it so people didn't accidentally walk over the cap and fall in.

  • im reading the book right now and i have to present a paper on it, and im going to use this video, bet they are gonna think im a freak haha. good book recommend it

  • Put this on Vimeo, people will care more there. Also, that is where SK readers are.

  • 24 people imagined it.

  • 1922 was one of the scariest stories ive ever read

  • @xxblzrd703 yea I'm reading 1922 right now and it's very scary! I love it though

  • The beginning looks like a cut-scene from Bioshock

  • boring

  • Seriously a hat on! Right then, after a heinous, struggling murder?! Details, people!

  • @cyclopsamurai he put the hat on?

  • @seonidh In the video he was... in the actual story (which I realized later these films weren't trying to depict precisely-seems a little nuts, some of their changes), but in the actual story, there was a great struggle to kill her. Things were frantic, and I just don't like the idea that fashion sense or security from a hat was any kind of priority at that moment. It's just the kind of thing that can ruin a great scene in a film. I'm just very surprised that people making it don't see that.

  • @cyclopsamurai ah the fatal flaw of a film maker continuity errors. I can see how a hat would cause trouble ans its hardly a necessity however ot get the feel of the 1920s when the story was set mabe they thought tht hat would show the era of the story or that it isnt a modern tale. I have to agree with yuo these stories are indeed very good. I just finished them this morning. All plausible well that is except the devil story. Typical king plot, ordinary people in strange situations.

  • @seonidh Perhaps I need to read it again. It's been a while now. I've read a couple books since then, but this story would vote into a handful of stories that I've really, really liked in my life. I knew it was for me the moment it began. Loved the scenery. When you're carrying a dead body to a well, you don't reach for your hat, but perhaps there was a lull in the timeline that I missed where he may have reached for it, but I remember feeling like that idea was ridiculous, mmmk...

  • just fnished the book, it was amazing! enjoy fellow constant readers

  • finished the book last night.. after a day, like all his books for the past... 20 years or something, lol.(takes me weeks to read others' books, usually) I liked it.. I liked it alot better than 'sunset' which disappointed me a wee bit... (I might be misspelling words here, I've been awake for two days). anyway, I liked it, alot.. It was darker than I've read of him as of late. by the way, I hate youtube now that I signed up... don't think Ima sign on again. just gonna watch vids on it again

  • I read 1922 Big Driver and now im starting the next one. All in 2 days :)

  • I've just finished reading this novella, and it's one of King's darkest yet. As is no doubt the case of the further stories in this book, '1922' is bleak and grim to the bone. Whilst the underlying event is a farmer's murder of his wife, helped by his son, it's not the murder that the story's about. Instead it's the long-term repercussions of their act. Brilliantly plotted and voiced, this is King at his best.

  • @CRYPTOCRYPTO2009 Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.... spoiler!! :(

  • @beaterfred No honestly, I haven't given anything away that's not in the synopsis of the novella. The story is far more than the murder, which will become evident.

  • @CRYPTOCRYPTO2009 I am in high school and my mom was asking what it was about and what happens in the end and after telling her she was like, maybe we should get you out in the sun before you read any of the other stories. lol

  • @3ISAMAGICNUMBR Hey, this is my new alias - Yeah, many people assume that because a story is dark, it's not healthy to read. Truth is, healthy literature is that which informs and educates, and as parts of real-world are sadly very dark [just pick up a newpaper to prove my point], these kind of stories can only be a benefit to read.

  • just finished this, amazing.

  • I like the trailers you made! :)

    ld&pn

  • I'm in the midst of the story right now, and it is... hard to read in places, to say the least. It's a good mix between Carrie-era King and the more mature King.

  • *Note to self.

    Do not watch this eating.

  • Thats one heck of a period stain.

  • Enjoying it....

  • So f-cking creepy story. I hate it when the monster hides behind normality. And the creep collects small trophies...

  • Snood!

  • I loved this story. Classic King.

  • Does ANYONE have this song or know where I can get it?! I've been on the hunt for it forever now!

  • ahhhh! whats the song!?

  • I wonder if that's the same well as in Delores Clairborne?

  • I wonder if that's the same well as in Delores Clairborne?

  • Huh! I suddenly have a craving for burgerking. XD

  • this book comes out Nov 9th, woot can't wait to read new King

  • HAPPEH INTERRNACIONAL CAPS LOCK DAY YIALL

  • @wannabecaleb is there an international spell check day?

  • @freerunningwarrior Obviously you have never heard of lolspeak. My misspelling of those three words was completely intentional and to reciprocate your hostility I would like to point out that you failed to capitalize the first letter of your asinine question.

  • i read the confession its amazing :D

  • looks sick!!!

    WANNA READ THAT

  • @DrMusicNow It's supposed to be one of Stephen King's most dark & psychological terrors. ;). Just a SK Constant Reader. Pet Sematary gets my pick for the darkest psychological book.

  • fucking love the music.

  • thanks !

  • the piano is brilliant. it adds perfectly to the scene...

  • Hi Maximilian glad you like the piano cheers Tom

  • OMG......can't wait, it looks a bit grusome but isn't that what we love about Mr King.

  • @TurboBabyPuncher English is the language of business, and communication but romance languages are the languages of love!

  • @midoribishi

rah rah ra-a-ah roma roma ma gaga ooh la la

    WANT YOUR BAD ROMANCE!

this is the language of love!

  • @dontlookinyourcloset Good one, lol.

  • "From the people who brought you those random low budget segments on 'Unsolved Mysteries' comes an uninspiring new series of low budget trailers to turn you off to reading what would otherwise probably be a perfectly good book by Stephen King -- 'Full Dark, No Stars'!"

    *DUM DUM DUMMM*

    "thisprogrammaynotbesuitableforpersonsoftheageof14orolderorthosewhohaveactuallyreadastephenkingbookandjusthaventseenthelacklusterfilms"

  • Narrator sounds like the dude who narrated...A Christmas Story.

  • Why are those men throwing things down that well? Don't they know that it will make the water taste shit?

  • That's quite a lot of blood.

  • @G3org3Master Just think of Lizzy Borden. ;)

  • No. It's not the only language dearheart...........but let's face it, it's the only one that really matters..........

  • Well that was pretty bloody disturbing. Lame pun was fully intended

  • What is this song?!?!?!?!?!?

  • The Song is called Sea of Love by Bliss sung by Rachel Morrison check out our channel

  • Don't people know that bad things happen when young girls with black hair get stuffed into wells? Didn't they see The Ring??

  • I think the song might be by CocoRosie. and frunk stephen king for making commercials for dumb books. Who reads anymore, its for losers.

  • @xar51 Reading is NOT for losers at all!! What a fool to think that. Apart from educating(depending on the book) reading is fun and a bit of escapism from the day to day activities of life, I love reading and I feel it's such a shame you think that I could say that you are the loser for missing out on a great pass time, find the right book and I hope it would change your mind.

  • @xar51 Clearly the only loser here is you.

  • Rachel Morrison is the Singer.

  • @xar51 I think it was very effective. I am certainly intrigued now, and am definitely going to buy the book.

People who don't read miss out on so much in my point of view. There is only so much people can potray in movies, and no matter how good the actors are they are still acting. A good writer can create a movie, so complete in detail in your head that actual movies seem so bland afterwards. Thats why people always say 'the book was much better' when commenting on movies based on books. :)

  • There's this FUCKED UP Film thats came out recently called "A SERBIAN FILM (2010)" & I haven't seen it due to the fact that the full length Trailer was enough for me!!

This however is the complete opposite. I guess you have to be a SK fan.

  • Can't wait !! :D I love SK

    and don't call me Shirley

  • @Peepholecircus Yea...I have FDNS on order; supposed to get it next month. ;)

  • saying frankly... KING IS KING

  • Ah this is so cool... I havent read all of stephen king's novels but damn this looks so intriguing!

  • Morgan Freeman narrating again?

  • @StudMuffin219 Morgan Freeman?! I guess that was meant to be funny..there's not even a slight resemblance between the person narrating this video and Morgan Freeman.

  • @koseitekifilms I don't know about you and trying to have an awesome comeback, but I just thought that The man (or woman) narrating this video has a low, stylized and distinguished voice like Mr. Freeman. Hence, my comment. You are correct about one thing sir or ma'am, I was trying to be comical.

  • honestly, i just clicked your video because the wood is dark. when you click pause and the buffering circle comes up, and you press the arrow keys, you can play snake

  • who's the singer?, sounds like Lou Rhodes

  • @danthemango I have no idea but it sounds a bit like the lead singer in Portishead.

  • The Singer is Rachel Morrison ,The Band is called Bliss, The Song : Sea of Love

  • @BlissRachelMorrison awesome, thanks

  • @danthemango cocorosie

  • red....

  • got a dead body? just throw em in a well :D

this was cool. and it's only part 1. Hmmm.

  • @thewriter57 it immediately had me thinking of Delores Claiborne. ;)

  • nice work

  • awesome awesome awesome!!!!!

  • o.O

  • Stephen King rocks!! I wish I was as sick as him xD

  • This was good as an advertisement and as a short. Very nice work.

  • background song vocal sounds like beth gibbons from portishead

  • @TheSilentAstronaut Really? Sounds more like Cerys Matthews to me ;).

  • .....

  • damn lol guess im buying htat book asap!

  • STEPHEN <3

  • Awesome....

  • omg i love Stephen King

  • wow.... You got me kinda interested :)

  • Subtitles in spanish please!

  • @chaotic13000 learn to speak English, wetback. And yes, I'm 50% Spanish too and live in Sweden, and yet I can speak English

  • @sgNism Fuck u mate what is your pro ?

  • @sgNism jajajajaja!! hijo de la chingada NO ME VENGAS A RASCAR LOS WEBOS QUE NO TENGO COMEZON PINCHE RETARD SHIT! KISS MY BASS AND SHIT THA FUCK UP!

  • @chaotic13000 - fuck you dude. I'm from such a shithole called Slovakia and I did leant it. so why don't you. And I would like to think you even live in USA since you're mexican lol

  • @allseeingeye93 tu que pinche punketo de mierda! ve a lamerle la vagina a tu puta madre que se la deje enbarrada de espermas! malcojido hijo de la chingada! jajajajaja!!

  • @chaotic13000, whatever you say, Dora.

  • @allseeingeye93

That makes you sound really ignorant.

English is not the only language in the world you know.

  • @TurboBabyPuncher, it should be. What's the point in learning all the different languages in the world when there are literally hundreds? English is the most used language in existence and so it should be used as the global language. Chinese is cool too. And honestly, I'm sick of all the spanish speaking assholes who can't be bothered to learn English. As another person commented, "fuck you dude. I'm from such a shithole called Slovakia and I did lean it. so why don't you."

  • @allseeingeye93 almost all hispanic people know how to talk english too...

  • @allseeingeye93 Wow, people like you make this world the crap it is.

  • @KillYourPC, how so? I'm an incredibly open minded person and in fact embrace all different people and perspectives in existence. I was simply pointing out the undeniable value of being able to speak English. Jeeze, it’s not like I rape babies or something.

  • @allseeingeye93 Although i think you're being overly attacked, you did sound pretty discriminatory. It's true that English is one of the most useful languages. Regardless you portrayed those who do not speak english or choose not to learn english as lesser people. Best to just ignore attention seekers like 'chaotic'.

  • @Donkomonster Yes, because youtube is Civilised...

  • @KillYourPC Why you say that

  • @allseeingeye93 You are the most ignorant person on the planet. First of all, English is not the most used language in existence, Chinese is. Also, most hispanic people are capable of speaking English, and while you call them lazy for not even trying, you yourself are saying that it should be the global language. It's people like you who contribute to the shitstain called Globalization. arividerchi, adios, tschus, and au revoir.

  • @allseeingeye93 English is the 3rd most spoken language in the world, not the first, or the most used.

  • @allseeingeye93 Learning another language is never easy and there are so many people who dont have the right education for that (I know it since my country is very poor), besides it's not like learning english is the maximum goal in the world, I think as more language we learn the more we can understand each other

  • @allseeingeye93 English is not the most used language in existence.... just saying. I love English, but I don't like people that think that there's ONLY English. Broaden your worldview and learn another language, or maybe even a couple!

  • @TurboBabyPuncher Well, for someone who called themselves "allseeingeye" what did you expect? :-D Ah, the irony.

  • @EllenRebecca3 I was thinking the same thing, though the "93"-part made me think about it :)

  • @allseeingeye93 Wow, you called him a lazy bum and to learn English when your the one who didn't take the time to learn another language.

Cuidate.
