P-factor is not a scale of how bad you have to p, after doing slow flight and stall maneuvers for two hours after drinking three cups of complimentary coffee at the FBO.
a funny phenomenon of slow flight is that at times you can really become aware of the difference between your airspeed and groundspeed..if you have a decent enough headwind, you can actually come close to hovering...my cfi said that he's seen conditions where the plane actually moved backwards in relation to the ground...winds aloft are much different than surface winds...can you imagine looking up at a little piper and see it slowly moving backwards?
I'd say you didn't understand because he didn't really say anything. He just slowed the airplane down and pitched up to maintain his altitude. All that "P factor" talk was just a sidebar.
The real activity of slow flight is once you've slowed the airplane down to demonstrate coordinated turning maneuvers while maintaining altitude and airspeed. Like riding a bicycle very slowly on curvy line. BTW, he really didn't even slow the 172 down to the appropriate speed which should be 40kts or so.
unless you know the vg diagram and common physics and how a plane wotks, all you'll hear is "grjhektgfdtrngjkrhgrkjgh hrjklghrkhk jgfhgklshjklhgrjklhsgkl right side"
Flying for me gives a sense of freedom, and sometimes a challenge. And its fun to do, if you are really intrested in doing it. I have been flying for about 10 years now, and have all ready logged 3,000 hours.
@TheWhiteOwl23 go down to you're local airfieild and enquire about a PPL, if you just want to do it casually, but depending on where you are, find a proper flight school, i'm going to oxford aviation academy hopefully when i'm 18 :)
@petaboil Is that an integrated fATPL course? (frozen atpl) Is your goal to become a commercial pilot or just private pilot? If commercial pilot i advise you to go to pprune(dot)org and read about integrated vs modular courses. And also search up oxford aviation academy. Just a tip.
@edlitz36 haha the funny hting is that in the time that it took for you to reply since i made the comment, im at EIT and currently have my ppl licence. but thanks anyway loser
@edlitz36 well you clearly have nothing left to say. i make thos animations for fun because me and my mates have a laugh at them, if you dont like them, stop "wasting your life" watching them haha.

also, angle of attack is correct since it is what causes lift to happen in first place. once critical angle of attack is reached, by increasing pitch, then lift will no longer happen since airflow over top of wing cant flow over top of wing smoothly anymore(hence, stall). you fail your check-ride if you actually stall airplane when performing slow-flight, but stall horn must b also going off while in slow-flight(which i didnt hear during video at all)
actually its three things that make it go to the left during this manuever, same as with take offs(both corrctd by same thing(right rudder). they r p-factor, torque(as were both already mentioned), but then also slipstream which circulates around plane from front to bak to hit tail of plain on left side to push tail bak to right.
he confuses angle of attack with pitch angle.....just look it up. And he omits any mention of "P" (gyroscopic Precession)factor for the left turning tendency. read all about it.
actually he did mention the spinning propeller just didn't call it for what it was. Kinda disappointed that he didn't get it down another 15-20 knots like he easily could have.
If he has to teach somebody slow flight it might be best not to try to confuse them right off the bat with P factor. Keepin it simple i suppose. Students are after all overwhelmed.
55 as lowest flight speed down from 90, cool. That's called ecological flying. Stop heating the planet by sports aircrafts. Why 10 degrees of the flaps down. This means disturbing aerodynamic. Not enough to bring down the engine and flaps up for upwind forces ??
Why would you call someone an idiot? That is so rude. You should be able to express your opinion in a civil manner. Remember God loves you even with all your faults.
you are so cool, ranger. How many airplanes do you posses ?? - And do you have night flight and blind flight licences, that's less what you should have !!

Dear All,
I have some questions about psychology:
*Why do we want to be a pilot?
*What is the leisure to pilot an aeroplane?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!!

@TheWhiteOwl23 Flight training is difficult and expensive. But don't worry, you'll never be a pilot. You make stick figure cartoons. Pretty lame.

Torque baby! It is the Torque, due to the high power setting! Propeller spins right, the plane counteracts by going to the left.

Actually, you can go after your Private Pilot License at 16, IIRC. It takes a good amount of time and money, though.
