  • Henri is played by a girl...couldn't believe it...

  • Moses is right it took until 1964 for blacks to be considered equal

the history of slavery, jim cow and segregation is unbelievable

  • Thank you....

  • so awesome?!

  • is it weird i think james is kinda hot?

  • @ellojellofly very

  • @ellojellofly No not weird. Youre not the only one :P me n many think the same lol

  • @ellojellofly Well let's put it this way, If he's only a 14yr old boy in this show and he's fine, now imagine a couple of years, when he's a MAN. Sarah would go crumpets for him :D. As for Sarah, she would grow up to be a very pretty woman.

  • @ellojellofly no when i was like 9 i had a crush on Henri haha

  • @ellojellofly not really :D

  • @ellojellofly no... i used to like him too ;D

  • 02:10 H#$%!!!!

  • At this point, Sarah is as English as England itself

  • Good, I have to watch this in school -.-

  • I love the music from 4:04-4:48..especially around 4:30..(sighs) it's to sad that today, Moses, Henri, James, and Sarah would all be bones or dust by now :(

  • I saw this on a field trip bus with a TV, going to Valley Forge.

  • i watched this at history class lol

  • aww her pretty little gold necklace now fell unto to the bottom of the Atlantic. Pause it at 2:17! what is James doing? lol

  • How old are these kids supposed to be? When I was little they seemed way older!

  • Its amusing how they alternate rowing out to the Dartmouth with it being docked.

  • That idiot Sarah girl, doesn't realize that it was the BRITISH that brought slavery to America and made it thrive.

  • MOSES HAS RED EYES IN THE DARK!!!! AHH!!!! lol :)

  • @CuriousGeorgeMonkey9 Dude, all of TV and music went stale ever since 2008!

  • Wait... What??? Benjamin Franklin was charged for encouraging the Boston Tea Party?? WHAT? He was a scapegoat for Hutchinson because he leaked Hutchinson's letters to the Boston Radicals. At this point his love for England has already turned bitter. His actions stirred up the colonists. That was why he was at the court. This show may be educational, but it's historically inaccurate....

  • omg. sarah said h***

  • this show is hilarious.

  • I miss this show! OMG! :)

  • dude where did he put the drumstick? o.o

  • @AhhTheNostalgia Exactly. :)

  • That guy that was prosecuting franklin, his facial expressions remind me of ratcliffe from pocahontas....

  • The poet tells them that its dangerous to be out yet she starts to tell her long ass story anyways.

  • I'm from Jamaica. The only part of this that is familiar to me is when the slaves talked about the journey from Africa. We learn about the journey to the Caribbean in Jamaica. It's pretty similar. Except it wasn't be easy for a slave to buy his freedom. The planters set up a ridiculously high price. So the slaves spen't their money on fancy clothes to show the English they were just as good as them (Passive Resistance). Maybe that's why Jamaican people dress so loudly! lol.

  • @mrorville1 Okay, here's the thing. You are a canadian, amcownage is american. Clearly you both have different opinions but lets go through this. The thing is, even though there might not be any world war, Britin still might not have remained great. It's actually more likely that the Louisiana territory would become it's own country because the French most likely wouldn't sell it to England. And the Civil war might not have happened. It might but it would be even longer before it would be equal

  • @mrorville1 what ever kid. you just proved my point. if britain won hitler MIGHT not have happened then but it would have lead to even more problems.you said if britain won and america didnt rebel until later it would delay the war? what if even that made no difference. what if it only changed the year it happened. i already know hitler planned everything out. he would still be there silently plotting his plans and if he didnt live up to the duty a son. he'd just have more time to plan invasion.

  • @mrorville1 IF britain could win against america then i dout they could gain that much power. BTW how on earth could britain win anyway? compared to other countries there nothing. ill admit IF by some crazy miracle britain somehow won against america and was still in control of us. it COULD have maybe stopped world war 2. thats the pro of the idea, but what about the cons? what if countries grew worried of britains power and started something or america and britain have a civil war? more war.

  • @mrorville1 both britan and america were aginst hitler. there would be no difference if they were one. they both hated hitler and fought aginst him. what you say makes no difference. the facts are. america, canada, britan, and the rest of the 51 allies were all aginst hitler. now please tell me what difference would there be if america and britain were one, and explain it in a way that makes since.

  • dude war happend britian wouldnt have survived without america wasent only americas fault but did have some part in it as well did britian lol just sayin

  • @mrorville1 how dare you say that. for all we know this was the best outcome. besides if i was in boston at that time, i would of protest too! id rather kill myself then be the lap dog of britin! it dosent madder if we protest then or not, sooner or later we would have wanted freedom from the britts anyway! also i am sickened by the fact your blaming WW2 on america! german history isnt the same as americas hitler would still be born! in conclusion, your an idiot! its done with now get over it.

  • When I was little, I never knew Henri was French. I kind of assumed he talked that way just because...it was the way he talked. XD

  • I love this show! I first watched this on T.V. when I was little, and didn't watch all of them. The other day when I was on Netflix, I saw that they had all the episodes on it, and said why not? I realized that I adore these shows, even though I am 14 years old, and they are about history! I was so sad when all the shows were done, but I love these shows!

  • @ItwillbeAugust02 I was going to suggest the same thing. :D

  • "Even if you don't like the laws, you can't just ignore them." What about bending or going out of your way to break them? Like, say...smuggling 30,000 Bibles into Saudi Arabia, where it's illegal to bring in a single Bible.

Sounds to me more like Phyllis was adopted.

I wonder why William Wilberforce was never brought up?

  • i love these videos i watch them every day in class

  • I love how the Dartmon doesn't have any British troops onboard.

  • why not sleep with james?

  • @SpiderDroid2 Do some research will you? This was off tv YEARS before Obama was inaugurated into presidency.

  • This is cool.

  • Sylvester Stalone was in this Ben Stiller was in this Dustin Hoffman was in this Arnold S. (The terminator dude. Can't spell is last name) was in this. They had a lot of really famous people.

  • my teacher played this for us today

  • be still, or its jail for us all!

  • Henri's accent is adorable.

  • @xKanariya isn't though?! xD Henri was my favorite because he is SOOO PRECIOUS!

  • to bad Obama took it off TV....

  • @SpiderDroid2 it was of off the air waaay before Obama XD

  • Way to stop the black guy. Racial profiling lol

  • Henri: "that was fun!" lol

  • Was it really a tea PARTY

  • @SquadalaBoi14 White people aren't exempt from being sorry for themselves either. Are you aware that the majority of the poor population in America IS white?

  • I like the music from 4:05-4:49:)

  • Does anyone else notice Sarah"s necklace in 4:19? lol

  • @XxTheBeatlesxX1 LOL!!! Editing fail xD

  • @XxTheBeatlesxX1 yeah howd she get it back?? wow -__-

  • so it's a tea party eh?

  • @SquadalaBoi14 green? i don't think there are any irkens on Earth (props to you if you have the slightest clue what i'm talking about)

  • @SquadalaBoi14

Can of worms you're opening there, sweet pea. Careful.

  • at 4:57, am i the only one thinking... here comes a story!

  • Where the crap did the drumstick go?! We shoved part of it in his mouth then it disapeared!

  • @MegamanBeta he inhaled it. like kirby.

  • I love this show because it shows it from England's side through Sarah.

  • wasnt black people enslaved during that period???

  • @jackassqwe1

there were slaves but just because there were slaves doesn't mean there wasn't free blacks.

  • @jackassqwe1 Actually, there were more white slaves than black during this period.

  • @DarkWarthog I believe you are refferring to indentured servents. Slaves and indentured servents are not the same thing.

  • @memory3945 No, actually. White slaves were imported from Ireland and Africa.

At the time, there were many more white slaves than black.

  • @DarkWarthog Yeah as memory3945 said, they were indentured servants working their cost of travel off. Big difference from slaves.

  • @akcaseyp And as I said before, if you do some research, there were truly more white SLAVES than black at the time.

All it takes is research away from the history books :)

  • @akcaseyp There's a fine line between indentured servanthood and human trafficking. Henri was technically an indentured servant, yet it can be accurately said that he was trafficked into his situation.

Tens of thousands of Africans were trafficked during and after the Revolution era. Even today, three million people on average are trafficked into slavery annually. Most of them become sex slaves or drug mules. Roughly 2/3 of them are young females, 4-20 years old.

  • @DarkWarthog Well actually it was something called the "one drop rule"

  • @XandWacky Nope. They were imported from Ireland and Scotland.

  • wouldn't Sarah feel her locket being snatched off her neck?

  • The funny thing is, when we sent Franklin over, we specifically told him not to take a seat in Parliament, if offered.

  • This show... is the best educational show... that I have EVER SEEN!!!

  • he was being racist to me in my twisted mind haha sorry to offend anybody

  • fuck dis shit

  • @Skittles321GO While I agree the tea deserved being dumped, how on earth are the English traitors? They followed the law fine, it was us who didn't. We really were commiting treason.

  • @KisiroKitsune

The English wouldn't allow the ship's captain and the ship to depart UNTIL the tea on the ship was purchased.

And the English was forcing the colonies to purchase the tea.

The actual groups that boarded the ship did so in an orderly manner, no one was harmed, and they paid for the entire amount of tea that was destroyed in a reasonable amount of time.

  • @olabashanda But that doesn't change the fact that the Colonists were traitors, even if they did pay for the damages eventually. Skittles said England were the traitors, but they were following their laws fine.

  • @KisiroKitsune is suppose technically ,but Patrick Henry said in His Give me Liberty or give me death speech that when internments become abusive and we do nothing we are committing treason . I know this is one mans opinion, but well This is a hot issue. God bless

  • I heard that this show's creators want to do a sequel to this series about the Civil War.

  • @cgsilverscreen2020 i hope they do.

  • @cgsilverscreen2020 I'd like to see them do a sequel first about the Corps of Discovery. Or at least a graphic novel. I can see it now; James bids his wife and children farewell in St. Louis, MO, and sets off with Lewis and Clark up the Missouri river to explore the newly acquired Louisiana Territory. Sarah takes the kids back to the east coast to keep an eye on the events there, including Alexander Hamilton's famous last duel.

  • Behind Arthur, this is the best educational show ever!

  • @sacramenteens lol...how is Arthur educational?

  • Comment removed

  • slavery was dieing in England at this time? when did the British stop slavery?

  • @sxv32idf I think that that slavery was outlawed in 1772 in England.

  • @johanna80394 no it was i believe 1812 lol not sure maybe 1814

  • @chitownzfinesthustla u know i actually thought it was the dutch that outlawed slavery in 1814 but idk :)

  • @johanna80394 my bad 1833 in they outlawed the importation of slaves in 1808

  • @sxv32idf Around the very early 1800s, maybe a bit earlier.
