CRAZY Ice Storm Damage in Hobart and Altus, OK! -- January 30, 2010

I remember that storm. I lived in Altus then and it was the worst ice storm I've ever been in.

well I live in Altus and we were out of power for like 3 weeks. We had to live in the hotel shown in the video--which was powered by generators so when ppl turned on too many lights, etc., the whole floor lost power :-(

I would also like to add we had neighbors that suck for having a generator power their home and not even ask if we nor our children would like even some hot water for cocoa, hot face cloth, ANYTHING! YOU SUCK...ok, I'm done.

more like seven days, thank god we had a Mr.Heater hooked up to a propane tank and was able to cook and heat coffee water on it, lots of candles...but I remember walking into United Grocery on Broadway and people were yanking food off of the shelves and huge mammoth lines of people acting like zombies! But it showed me how NOT full proof we are against the elements. Thanks to not keeping trees trimmed back which was the citys responsibility had to listen to two assholes on the radio during. ha

I loved it. Played Monopoly and got drunk all week.

Well, i live in Hobart myself, and I hated those freaken 5 days with no electricity!

i live in Altus oklahoma. and let me tell you as a freshman we had a lot of homework, I got bored easily.
