@janderson2000 Did you hear him sing live? Don't think so. If you truly were an expert on vocals, you would have known that Perry misses notes when he sings live. I compared his recorded performance to his live. Plus if Perry was not such a drama queen maybe they would still be together. Journey did not pick Arnel to exploit the market. There are many groups that have Filipino singers in bands. You just do not see it because you are too blinded by your bigotry.

this s a very good review. yes, these all about journey, not perry or arnel. JOURNEY is reborn again. I have never seen Neal Schon and other members so connected like this since Perry left. The Journey's magic s back. The classic tune s back although i must say Arnel's voice has a powerhouse to offer for this new generation.

Im sorry you feel that way. While I love Perry, Journey is greater than just Perry. Perry's solo career shows that he alone did not have the magic touch. Journeys music without Perry sounds more like Journey than Perry's solo efforts.

When SP sings I want to dance...Something in the way he uses his voice as an instrument. No one can interpret lyrics the way he can. Arnel definitely has a stronger vocal but does not have Steve's finesse. Maybe it is what makes Steve seems more popish and Arnel more rockish?

Those memories are still better than what I'm hearing today from Journey. Neil and Jon are still great, but Arnel sucks!! I don't say that because I am "In love" with steve perry. Obviously you don't know then that Perry quit in 87 cause he was completely losing his voice on the RoR tour. And every live performance after that sounded really bad. Arnel sounds way better than Perry would right now and would have been great had they found him in the late 80s. Perry has sounded flat for over 20 years since RoR. Thats how it goes, singers loose their voices. Arnel is doing great.

Okay dude, you obviously aren't aware of all the facts. Perry has way lost his voice since his prime days in Journey. Listen to live clips of him in 86, 91, and 94/95. His voice was so strained and you can even hear it in interviews with his real voice. He quit because he wanted people like you to hang onto the memory of him at his best dividing Journey fans.
