I never played FH1 so can't comment.

I've played bf1942 though but I prefer FH2.

FH2 is still work in progress, while I think FH1 is no longer being developed.

FH1 has drivable ships if you like that sort of thing, but the graphics look quite dated now.

Personaly I'd rather play FH2 than take a step back. : )

There are only 3 kits with a Parachute.

The SL has one, the Pilot kit has one, and the Fallschirmjäger has one.

It shows you when you select kit with a little parachute icon on the left.

Erm..... Your hitting the 9 key about 3-4 times right? Have you checked that the parachute key hasn't been changed in settings?

Also if you jump from too low a height, you will be killed. Make sure you have plenty of height to before you jump out.

I can't think of anything else, ask on the FH2 forums.

If you open it too low or too late the fall will kill or injure you. You need to be high enough before opening it, you learn when to open by experiance :)

You open by pressing 9. Im not sure if all kit's have parachutes, just the Squad leaders Pilots and Fallschirmjäger i think.

I don't think so "at the moment". The mods have someone working on singleplayer maps I think and will add more to the basic singleplayer package. When this map will be included i don't know, have a look on the FH2 forums.

thanks man, after doing a little more research and downloading the original version for battlefield 1942, i have one more question, are the new normandy maps included in the curent version? i would download it but i dont have BF 2 yet

The latest 2.15 doesn't have Normady.

Everyone is waiting for 2.2 to be finished which is Normandy. Nobody knows when it will be out, but they are betatesting it, so it will be released "soon".

It's a fantastic mod. Though I think there is a tendency to stray away from it if you're not a top player. It's very difficult. It's not something anyone will be able to pick up and go at. You will struggle for the first little while...I think they need to tweak around the running because it's extremely slow to get from A to B if you haven't got a ride. It shoots for realism but sometimes it goes to far and makes the game a second job rather than a game

Do alot of people play FH2?

The hslan 64 player server is allways full and usually you have to wait to get a slot sometimes. There you will find the hard core player base.

At peak times there are usually 2-3 other half full servers.

The 2.2 Normandy version will probably increase the player base a lot.

Many people don't like the desert campaings for some reason but for sure it will pick up when the American/Canadian content is included in 2.2.

It's usually on a couple of times a day, It's a bit unbalanced and the Axis should have more tickets or something as they rarely win.

Forgotten Hope 2 is based on Battlefield 2. There are no drivable battleships in BF2, so I don't think they can put them in.

At the end of a FH2 round there is points for a "NAVAL" class, which I think the modders have put in for future patches.

I didn't play online 1942, just the singleplayer. I tried it again some months ago, I felt it was very dated compared to BF2/FH2.

BF1943 looks awfull, so I'm sticking with Forgotten Hope, wait till Normandy comes out, ships, who needs ships! :D

You can change views using the camera cycle key in your control settings.

However, there is no nosecam view in FH2, cockpit view  or external plane view only.
