I know why it's like that, you have your ipod set to mirror your Itunes library, what you have to do is uncheck the two options (it'll say "open Itunes when ipod is connected at the top...) =. Then click apply and it you will be able to move your columns and music....Hope It Helps!

what the hell, does it really matter, u look at the music on your ipod, not on ure itunes, why the hell do u need to resize the columns?? please if u want to rant on about something so useless, please do it somewhere else

If you are stupid, doesn't mean that your ipod is useless..I have the same, it was complicated for me to sync the songs, that's why it has 'manual' option...

uhm... i wouldn't call that a MAJOR problem. Have u even SEEN the other problems people are having w/ the classics? MY classic is useless becuase it doesn't even HOLD music at this point. Every time I eject it, it erases itself.. bitch on that, homie.

Hey iTunes sucks really bad people! I only use it (used it only once) for restoring only. I use winamp with ml_ipod plugin and it is perfect in every way - Drop folders into iPod, copy music out of iPod to PC, Videos copied directly, artwork no problem just recognizes folder.jpg as the artwork. It is excellent and it is free like iTunes. I have them both but have rarely gone over back to iTunes!
