Best Country artist ever....fantastic voice and karisma.......Cash was great, but Waylon ....just loved him! Waylon 4 ever! Country music will never be the better than this! THE COUNTRY music made today music really SUCKS!!!! and I mean it!
For anyone interested this is available at the pirate bay for DVD download, pretty badass since i dont think its available for sale on any format anywhere,
Ralph Mooney was known in the industry as the best steel guitar player to ever shit behind store bought shoes. He is an absolute legend. Waylon was lucky to have him.
Ralph Mooney was not only considered the best steel guitar player in the world, but he also co-wrote "Crazy Arms" in May of 1956 for legends "Ray Price" and "Jerry Lee Lewis".
"Well I gotta good woman whats the matter w/ me? What makes me wanna love every woman I see? I was triflin' when I met her now Im triflin' again, and every woman she sees looks like the place I came in... like the place I came in!" thank you Waylon for teachin me that you can't change an outlaw but talk about the good times we've had and all the good times to come while loving him inspite of his wicked ways that I dont understand =D
Got a guitar project in the works. Gonna have it looking like ol' Waylon's. Wish it was easy to figure out how to play that chicken picken style he had. God I miss him so.
This song is easy to play on guitar. D and G chords, and if you want to get the same tone, get a Fender amp, use the clean channel, with treble in 2, and bass in 7.5. Also best to play a telecaster. And if you want, you can also buy a MXR Phase 90 pedal to make it ring better.
nothing is better than getting in the truck w/my 6yr old little girl @ hearing her say, "Play some Waylon daddy". Waylon & Moon ,no one comes close........
one of the few who ackowledged the late great Jimmie Rodgers, who influnenced so many but is widely forgotten. i never grow tired of listening to waylon...
love waylon he will always be the best country music singer of all times miss him very much wish he was still her with us rip waylon you are greatly missed
just wanna say im 33 from england...if it was not for you tube i would have never ever heard of these songs ...we get cash in bits willie in bits kris never bocephus never......keep it rocking you tube boys.....

Willie nelson, merle haggard, kris kristofferson and charlie daniels are the only people that are alive that keeps country from disintegrating.
like johnny cash said- hank williams would turned in his grave if he saw what country music had turned in to...

This video is shot at the Grand Ole Opry on August 12, 1978.
The man playing steel guitar in this video is the incomparable "Ralph Mooney".
Ralph Mooney is in the pantheon of pedal steel guitar players.
Waylon was known as having the best steel guitar player in the world at that time.
Ralph Mooney is legendary for his third pedal setup and was a session player on many of Waylon's albums.
In 1983, Ralph Mooney was inducted into the "Steel Guitar Hall of Fame".
