how do you get the fiber optics to work so well?

Hi, i just follow the instruction to install the fiber optics very straight forward in the tank, but i just get good result in the front installation, i haven't yet install the back of the tail light cos i broken one of them during installation.

the back lights work a lot better than the front. i really think they should of used some sort of light bulb for the front lights

when i install the back light i found that it is difficult to passed through the fiber optics between the light panel and the hull cos i need to bend it so sharp. And i agree that your suggestion of using light bulb may be more convenience when installation.
