One more CRYSTAL CLEAR example of the "Quickening" of undeniable increases in "The Signs and Wonders" which ever reinforce my belief in the inevitability of "The Mayan Apocalypse".
That last note hit is about as low as the human voice can go...............the only instrument that will play that note is either the Tuba or the Contra-Sax.
For those of you that don't know what a Contra-Sax is, or how big it is, look it up here on You Tube. The Contra-Bass has to be held in a device that is a special holder and wheeled in on a dolly.
@zakmonziller wondering if you are aware of all your other relatives thru Kenny??? I was married to Jim, we have a son, Jonathon Trimble, his wonderful wife Sharon and am a proud grandmother of my two grand daughters thru them. : )
Kenny was a wonderful father-in-law. I have many fond memories of him. As depicted in this video and others his personality comes thru so well. I loved his sense of humor and hope my grand children will enjoy viewing all the videos that can be found on the net.
A song like this will seperate the singers from the low note hitters real fast . What's going to get you here is the tempo. Struggle with the pitch and the song runs over you. Larry nails it like it's mid range!
Yet another "Harbinger"!

The reason Larry Hooper could hit those notes as if they were mid range, is because for him those notes were mid range.

Bass singing... so hard to come by outside of country gospel and Russian (basso profundo) choir. It's just so refreshing hearing people sing base.

It is amazing!
Larry hits low Bb at the end of the song.

terrific performance by both ! - Larry sounds great - hope there's more Larry Hooper to post (someone should issue a CD) - thanks
gnativerson 2 years ago 2
@gnativerson agree totally. There was an LP of Larry's
50's performances, "Lawrence Welk Featuring Larry Hooper"
in 1959, Larry did do a few recordings later, Also some
of Larry's best performances were on the show and not
made for records. How about it, the custodians of the Welk
shows, how about a TV soundtrack CD of Larry???

I think better and lower than JD Sumner . Larry is THE bass man !
