There are no bad horses or abusive sports....Only abusive people. If ONE jockey is abusive, all of the sudden the entire sport is abusive. Then we have the truly great riders who take a bad rep for it. Shut the hell up if you can't see that....Because you're only making yourself look stupid.

yea im 5,8 and an apprentice. but i gotta go sauna every day, a piece of un butterd toast in the morning, a bottle of lucazade for lunch and cup of tea for dinner, but if your only 12 and 5,7 i think you got no chance

When i was 9 years old i rode horses and all i wanted to do was to be a jockey. When i turned 16 i was 6 feet tall and weight in 180 ibs...what a bummer :-(

My graps used to race horses, and i know NO people who were abusive to there horses, horses love to run, and when they are about 2 or 1 or maybe older they tell us that they want to run, and all we do is just.. well run them, that is ture Englishrox race horses are like treated like royalty, my graps had lost some what races but he never got mad at the horse, he just knew that they horse was tired or something like that.

I agree in this show on of the girls falls off her horse the horse kept running with no rider on it to the finish and made it through first but of coarse there was no rider so it wasnt counted but that just shows they love to do this and even with no rider they push tell the end they love it it is wat they are trained for they love this love!! i agree with u 100 % btw i love this show!!

"Jockeys" will be an incredible series. These people work constantly, get very little rest, and are very dedicated and determined athletes with stamina and patience. It will be interesting to watch their daily lives on and off the track.

They are making this a series so people can see the hard lives of the jockeys...not the cruelty of the horses! Go join PETA...horse racing is not cruel. I'm a jockey...so I get really offensive when people say that horse racing is cruel! Whip rules are changing! Race tracks all over the world are changing rules to make horse racing safer for the horses...do you think about all the health concerns jockeys face trying to weigh 108 lbs everyday....I think NOT!

Its not cruel,yes they use whips and crops but its not like they are TRYING to hurt them! I used to think the same way but i got to talk to some jockeys in person and they are VERY comited! Have you ever ridden a horse? HAVE YOU? Do you know how hard the sport REALLY is?! I dont think so! So why can t you understand that they ARNT trying to hurt the horses in anyway! If they we're i dont think they would be racing!!!!!

I went to a auction house and it just broke my heart to see all thoes horses,me and everyone i was with wanted to put our money together to buy one so we could take care of it and give it a good home.
