Sucky! That horse and that header did everything right. If I was in that situation, I would have gotten out of the way too. When you've got horses, a steer, and a loose rope, you've got to do what you've got to do. It could've been much worse if he had stayed in the middle of that. Team ropers pay tens of thousands of dollars for a good horse, I'll bet that the first thing he did when he caught the horse was to make sure everything was okay. Don't be ignorant.
He was getting out of his horses way. I'm almost POSITIVE he checked his horse. I'm sure its not the first time he's fallen. The horse obviously had a rough start and was trying to please and stumbled. Happens to everyone.
For everyone hating on the rancher lifestyle. This is 21 second clip obviously he's going to check his horse but this is everyday stuff that these cowboys have to face. Ten times manlier than any city folk that's for sure
it's that sand ya know. head horses can't have that deep stuff, they make the corner and they just get buried in it. lose there footing and they will go down on you. them Big heavy cattle will be a problem for some smaller horses to so you gotta watch out for that stuff.
@doggieyo Pretty sure you'da moved out of the way of a horse that just went down and let him come to you. OK anyone that knows his horse would, not only is it a horse valued at 10's of thousands but also when you have a horse that trained it means you spent the time to train it. IT wasn't born a roper. I'm sure he checked it and notice the horse is walking and running on it
