i watched this for the first time back on video soul, and dropped my plate when they showed these ladies in the black spandex/leather from the waist down 0:55...WOW!!
i thought i had seen it all, and then the sista put on that green suit and showed what it's all about at 2:26.....whoever convinced her to join the track team back in high school, i speak for all the brothers when i say, "THANK YOU!!"
these ladies could sing and they were cute! proof once again: the 1980's were best!
No, I'm saying that their NAME, not (blond) hair color, as well as all 3 of their essences, is HELLA sexy. Don't put words in my mouth, MmmKayyyyyy?????!!!!!!!!
@pas911 I know what you mean, LMBAO!!!!!!! I thought that their remake of the Isley Bros. "Footsteps" was their first song. Didn't know about this! Nice Jam!
@pas911 Actually ALL 3 of the Body Sisters (by the way, is that their real last name? It's HELLA sexy, no disrespect to selenac100) do that to me, LOL!!!!!!!!
I remember them believe it or not based on this very record which got moderate airplay in England. I think I still own that very cassette from the stuff I taped from Saxon radio's Sunday night radio show with a DJ named Buster.
Once again so talented...I can see The New Dance Show or The Scene Dance Show influence in their dance moves. U Detroiters know what I'm talkn bout .. LOL! Just wondering though...in this video it appears that the camera is avoiding the third sister only focusing on the 2 the lead and Peggy. They are all very talented ladies. Thanks for posting
I first became familiar with them via their cover of "Footsteps in the Dark" -- the companion video got a lot of play on BET back in the day! After that, I started discovering more of their music and really took to their first album!
@retrorhythms Great you have good taste and a ear for talent. They were very talented and I only wish they would have blown up a lot more. I certainly hope their doing well these days.
I was actually surprised that they didn't have a third album -- considering that they had two top-10 R&B hits from that second album! But it might have been mostly on the strength of airplay...or maybe their support at the record company left. They really pulled a disappearing act!
@retrorhythms I believe their still here somewhere in the city. I think one of them may have lived close to a relative of mine at one time but I wish I knew what they were doing these dayz. I hope they are at least grooming other good talent to walk in their footsteps...LOL. I must say, I just cant get enough of the few songs they did make. I find myself playing them over and over.
Thanks so much for the post.. Please do you have they song Posession by them......I been searching everywhere for that song. .someone moved it from there list...
I went to high school with Letitia and Peggy Body, Charles F. Kettering in Detroit, Michigan. I think I might have written Letitia her first fan letter!! LOL
OMG. I used to love Body. Especially Footsteps in the Dark. I cannot believe that I haven't seen this video or heard of this song, because I was a true Video Soul fan. I let this one slip by me. But, anyway thanks for posting it, it's gonna be a new fav of mine by Body.
You might not have heard it since it didn't chart at all. This was from their first album, which came out three years before the "Easy to Love" album!

It might partially seem that way because when I transferred this video, some of the dimensions were cut off!
