  • I thought Fantastic Mr. Fox should have won! It truly was...

    Fantastic!!!

  • i dont know who won but it better had not been that fox thing, annoying little pest. makes humans look civilized. if the writers where aiming for that kind of charecter for him, they did it fantasticaly.

  • this aint gonna end up on youtube is it?

  • I LOVE UP!

  • Fantastic Mr. Fox is probably my favorite animated film of the last 10 years. Just so much life in all the characters movements and I notice new details about the film every time I see it

  • Secret of Kells or Coraline should have won

  • Secret of Kells VS UP! ?!?

I couldn't be paid to pick a winner between them. Well, I could be, but...

  • HA NAVEEN GOT PWND BY A BOTTOM HEAVY ALLIGATOR

  • Coraline should have won!!!!!

  • SQUIRREL!

  • Princess and the Frog it most. It was the return of hand drawn animation and Pixar still beat them. Up was good, but the only reason they won was because Pixar the darn thing. Princess and the Frog FOREVER!!!! *imitation Spongebob's battle cry*

  • Poor Naveen that must have been a bad day for him.

  • coraline deserved to win, not only is the movie itself, charters, story are amazing, but the fact that it was done in stop motion is amazing, and the beautiful music score is a bonus as well, it deserved to win!

  • I love Coraline! -3 -3

  • Why don't they do this more often?

  • It's funny cause it did end up on youtube LOL!!!

  • It was a great group of films for that year. Honestly, I loved Coraline and Secret of Kells a lot. The Princess and the Frog was visually stunning.

----But, Up had so much heart. I prefer 2D animation and didn't feel the need to see it in 3D. A good story doesn't need it.

  • fantastic mr fox all the way!!! LOVED THAT MOVIE

  • I loved them all but Up was the best choice. It touched me the most, and I bawled my eyes out every time I watched it.

  • Coraline should of had won. Not only was it beautiful it also had great acting, great story, and good music.

  • I really think these shorts say a lot about the actual films:

FantasticMrFox: Witty & Fleshed out stop-motion.

Coraline: Great animation, but not funny (probably because it's too gritty to be funny).

SecretOfKells (fav): Mildly funny (otherwise pretty gritty) and heavily artistic animation.

ThePrincessAndTheFrog: Loud and obnoxious & high budget animation; but hey, it's Disney (with corny modern-day references)!

Up: Equally loud, but all the more funnier, with extraordinarily detailed 3d.

  • @Atvishees Are you suggesting Princess and the Frog was a bad movie?

  • @sonofjafarreturns Yes and no.

It was pretty standard Disney animation and musicking, there were dozens better choices than this one.

The characters were standardly bland and the plot was... well, I don't really know where they got that plot from.

  • The Secret of Kells needed the award and deserves it, it went a lot worst than all the other films in the box office.

  • and the winner is.... up

  • animated films were so strong that year, i think that the best picture award was kind of pointless since they weren't competing with all the real best films.

  • Such grate animated films that year

  • Secret of Kells and Fantasic Mr. Fox were both awesome! I didn't really like the other ones......

  • @53artsy as much as i love both those films, whats wrong with Coraline?

  • @AJ627 Nothing really i just didn't enjoy it that much. I can see how other people liked it, it just wasn't my kind of movie.

  • Man, I love Louis!!!!

  • whats the secret of kells? O_O

  • louis "this is not going to end up on youtube is it?"

    to late dude to late

  • CORALINE! nuff said.

  • They should do this from now on, having the characters of the animated nominees interviewed. I love it

  • It didn't end well.

  • "This isn't gonna end up on Youtube, is it?" Louis, asked for it. No silly moment escapes Youtube.

  • @ericemanwu He TOTALLY asked for it. :)

  • 1:10 Yup it is. :)

  • Coraline ended up being one of my absolute favorite animated films. I really liked the interviews here for Coraline and The Princess and the Frog. :)

  • omg thank u so much! i remember watching this on tv when it came on the oscars that night and i couldnt find it anywhere until now! thank u!

  • wow! I have not know this video till now. This is how I describe these characters: mr. fox: 1 fantastic creature, caroline: an american girl that does what she wants, aisling: cute magical girl (even as a wolf), both naveen and louis: big and hilarious sucess of disney movies. I'm not sure about UP.

  • up is a disgrace but so sad . stupid pixar!

  • This isn't going to end up on youtube, is it?

  • Coraline or fantastic mr.fox should have won. Up is overrated.

  • "What's 'The Secret of Kells'?"

Sounds like most people when they first heard the nominations.

  • "this isn't end up on youtube, is it?"

    LOLLOLLOLOLOL

  • Personally, I think The Secret of Kells should have won. That movie is fantastic and deserves an award.

  • @myrandomchannell Couldn't agree with you more.

  • @myrandomchannell who won?

  • I actually think that The Princess and The Frog should have won; such colorful characters, amazing animation, addicting songs, and more...(in case u liked Up instead of The Princess and The Frog, I thought that Up was pretty good, but not THAT good)

  • Fantastic Mr Fox should have won, I watched all the nominees and it was the best in my opinion by far.

  • OMG LOUIS! "I hope this doesn't end up on Youtube" LMFAO! A disney character saying the word "Youtube" i thought that would never happen in a million years =P

  • That was the best part of the Oscars.

  • Shane Ackers 9 should of Goten a nomanation and win!

  • @MalescoM Lol that would've been WICKED if 9 stood up there and talked!!! I love 9!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love Aisling's part. Kells deserved the nomination and more!

  • The croc had it coming.

  • This is NOT food. XD

  • I really wish Coraline would have won.

  • @MageinMead You and me both. Coraline ROCKS.

  • 0:58 Superfunny! XP

  • I must say that The Princess and the Frog was had the funniest interview, and I'm a little disappointed for UP's interview...

  • @U2ize Pixar always wins. So that means UP won.

  • dug says"this is not food." then old guy says"hay dug squirrel!"

  • Next year, they should make this again with the characters of the nominated films which will be nominated for Best Animated Film. Toy Story 3 will win for sure!

  • sorry Louis, it's on youtube XD

  • Mr. Fox gave the best interview.

And Aisling (silver-hair girl) has such a beautiful voice.

  • ok yes lewis it's uploaded on utube!

  • Up and Pixar deserve everything they've gotten. Not to say some of the other films weren't amazing. Brenden and the Secret of Kells is a stunning film.

  • Sorry, Louis

  • Funny!

  • "What's The Secret of Kells?"

Had ANYONE heard of that movie before the Oscars?

  • nice :D

  • "This isn't going to end up on YouTube, is it?" XD

  • @Alexandra496 TOO LATE! HAHA!

  • 1:10 - 1:12 Yep it sure did.

  • Fantastic Mr. Fox should've won best animated film and been nominated for best picture.Stop sucking Pixar's dick,Academy.

  • @dih70 You said it! Pixar is an animation juggernaut, but that gives no excuse for them to award them by notoriety rather than creativity. Up was okay for me. I just found the dogs excessively irritating and unfitting. Although I usually love animated dogs, just when they don't make references to annoying stereotypes, such as chasing squirrels and "the cone of shame"!

  • Fantastic Mr. Fox should've won and been nominated for best picture.Stop sucking Pixar's dick,Academy.

  • Haha, yeah, when I watched the Oscars I saw that. Hilarious! ^_^

  • the princess and the frog !!!!!

  • LOL!!! This was so funny to see during the Oscar's night!!! OMG!!! I was so thrilled to see something like this. They didn't really do it for the 2007 and 2008 film awards event of the Oscars really. Just the clips from the film. I'm so glad they brought back something funny like this for the award winning films of 2009.

  • "i thought we were gonna be nominated like a REAL movie!"

    lol

  • AW. Dug! "What is that? I will explore it now!". xD

    And poor Naveen. :P

    Squished. xD
