u should use specialist, it gives you all the proficiencies, so you would have damage + range!

SPAS12 with damage is good, but I got more luck from farther distances with Range + Ext Mags.

Ext Mags give you more pellets in your shells(which means more damage) while having the awesome range of the MW2 SPAS. Try it out.

the trick to level up shotguns is to play in hardcore until u get damage so then its mostly one shot kills

I got a tip for you that I always use for spas 12 or any shotguns. Use more flashbang when you see them in long range, run up to them and blow them up.

damage isnt the only thing helping extended mags gives it more pellets per shot soo your hitting with more plus more damage so your definitely going to rape so nice vid and props for the grind to damage i cant use any shotgun for that long :(

@AreYouOffended If you're brave enough to use a shotgun in hardcore then yes! haha I tried that. It is fantastic when you kill other people, but most of the time is spent being owned by the people with fully auto guns.

KSG12+damage is beast, i just got it yesterday and it makes it a completely different gun. Seriously its a beast but getting the damage proficiency takes forever and it sucks because before you get damage with the KSG12 its a piece of shit.

@Tagan55 before they buffed the ksg, spas, and striker they were shit no matter what but i just unlocked damage for the spas i already have the ksg gold and before the patch trust me with damage it did less than what it does now without damage, its rediculous. i like the way they did the shotguns though if you work for it you can get a beast just dedicate the next 7 hours of your day to using a shotgun and it doesnt take too long

spas was patched today, so the damage in reality doesn't do that much. But since it was buffed up today it made the damage proficiency look really good.

@kraznot there was no spas 12 patch. Its a youtube rumor with no proof whatsoever. Infinity ward said themselves the patch was only to fix connection issues. The are lots of gameplays "pre patch" showing the same exact range with the damage proficiency. Damage makes each pellet do 1.4 times more damage just like stopping power. So saying damage doesn't do much makes no sense.

@sepirothfreak999 actually what that patch did do, is causing a glitch, which gives you 50% pellets per shot on every shotgun when you use extended mag. In other word it's like you have two stopping power perks added onto each shotgun when you use both extended mag and damage proficiency. That kind error does make sense though since extended mag was suppose to give you 50% more shots per clip and extra back up ammo. With a little bit of mis-programing, this could happen.
