  • OMG! you play it so smooth... soooooooo very very veeeeeery GREAT!!!

  • That bass looks like an olp ernie ball.

  • wow, some tasty phrases.

  • SWEET JESUS that was nice

  • really good ! i like it !

  • really nice!!!!

  • What do you have for settings? I've been trying to get a sound like this out of my amp head for a while.

  • although a tad "muzak" for my perosnal taste I think your playing is really really awesome! really enjoyed it.

  • What truly kills perception of people about jazz, are elitist players and listeners that talk about it like its an abandoned fruit for the chosen. Jazz is a nice genre of all different kinds, and its nice to combine them and listen to jazz as a whole, including smooth jazz, which may be poppy and less "virtuosic" as mainstream classics, but its still nice. Jazz is lovely, it just has a heavier door that needs to be open over time by listening. I didnt like Miles Davis' sessions on first listen.

this helped me a lot tho, thx man

  • I think you think you are a great bassplayer, wake up man!

It sounds as dead as a dead cow! You Faker!

  • Nice !!! I've listened.. i think this song is:

    Cmaj - Bbmaj - Am7 - Abmaj - Gmaj - Gmaj - Am7 - Am7 - Fm7 - Bb7 - Am7 - Am7 - Dm7 - Gm7 - Abmaj - C#maj

    excellent song!

  • Nothing and I mean nothing can lift you like a smooth jazz bass. It has the uncanny ability to pick you up on a raft of intoxicating nuances. It beats in rhythm to your soul easing the mind. And when the lick ends it sets you back on shore refreshed,renewed;revived...is this OTT ?

  • smooth bro, play on.

  • Keep on going!!! Learn from everyone and every hing what you get to know and listen. Develop your self. I do the same. You got the feeling. Good luck. Keep in touch. North Sea Jazz festival. The Netherlands. God bless you. Alexei.

  • I enjoy your solo very much.

  • sound is great, what slace use for this song??

  • Jazz sucks dick. Dubstep. Fuck jazz

  • @Steez420

In that case why are you even here ?

  • @CherryConcrete cause i wanna be a youtube gangster. JAZZ SUCKS. ps.... get a bucket and wash my nuts JAG

  • @Steez420 0/10 shit effort

  • @Steez420 every music genre is great. you just have to avoid the shitty artists. but one fact remains: everyone who has really listened to music once, no matter what kind of music says jazz is great and relaxing. so out of that I could conclude that dubstep is no music. it creates nothing. it just adds something to existing music. but I don't say that. maybe you should just open you vision and mind a bit.

god or evolution has given you a brain. prove me you have one too.

  • @yetisports666 not all jazz is great. not all jazz is relaxing. smooth jazz is all radio stuff

  • Very nice solo. Relaxed and well executed. Very melodic and not annoyingly notey :)

  • Great playing my friend, what's the name of that song by the way?

  • All you need in the beginning is the black guy with the reeeeeeeally deep voice to say "Hey baby, you know I've been thinking about you lately. Awwww yeah."

  • @JayBoogie950 HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • oops didn't realize that's an OLP, still doesn't sound too bad for a cheaper instrument

  • Good bass playing! what's with all the fury floating around the comment area? That's a sweet bass g-tar, you just made me want to play my '91 stingray 5, got the same bass but black on black with natural headstock, same pup config. Mine's strung with D'Addario chromes (flats) awsome strings on this bass if you're not into funk or slap much. The necks on these are amazing, for skimming through the notes, so narrow and so thin, the most perfect 5er bass I ever owned, I want one in fretless too.

  • Nice. Very nice.

  • @lordbassist Since it is of course not fake, I'll consider that a compliment, thanks!

  • @smoothjazzbass I think he thinks you're playing the guitar. LOL

  • sorry man!!! my cousin who's the one who comment this.... he used my account.... sorry about that... by the way.... it's awesome... cool!!!

  • @lordbassist Aham, yeah right dude! :D *chatterbox*

  • @lordbassist are you crazy? :/

  • @lordbassist stau chill dude, the man is playing awesome! and LIVE

  • @lordbassist Jealous?

  • @lordbassist lol u dumbass thats a base what ur hearing is guitar, the bass in is the backgroud, ur so stupid xDD!!

  • Beautiful tone

  • yeah the music is good... but the bassman who perform is fake

  • @lordbassist HAHAHA. Oh fucking wow. OH. FUCKING. WOW. Your name is lordbassist. AND YOU... PFFFF. HAHA. Oh booooooooy. You fucking mong.

  • jazz is really a hard to play stuff...

  • we have not time for the shit, you now

  • this is beauty, not "nile" -.- ♥

  • THIS is how I want to play bass.

  • nice guitar is that a fender my friend has one just like that : )

  • @xxxscottypottyxxx No, it's a Music Man Stingray, dumbass.

  • @SlapPopStacy

Actually, it's an OLP (which is far easier to get smooth sounding IMO). Dumbass :p j/k. To the OP: nice smooth playing.

  • phäääääääät

  • <<<<<noddin my head to the smooth bass here in my office. thanks bruh.

  • what song is this??

  • i can hear the bass, but this is not a solo cmon...

  • todays weather is ... sounds good and smooth..

  • just beautiful

  • really amazing :)

  • amazing...

  • this would be perfect music when coming home at 4 p.m on a rainny Monday afternoon n central New York . Why ? I don`t know . The mind is amazing aye ?

  • Every chord change tone is beautifully placed! Singing quality is A++

  • Hey can you please tell me how you recorded your vid? It sounds clean man. And programs you used?

  • Smooth like a nicely lubed pair of tits. Haha kidding, but this was incredible.

  • smooth playing.. i like this kind of basslines..

  • hey does anyone know this song .or where i can find the tabs for this song thanks

  • High quality porn music xD 5 stars

  • @ZupraVisor IT'S SO TRUE !!! HAHAHA

  • @ZupraVisor haha maybe in the 70's

  • @ZupraVisor

    ahahahahahahahah

  • @ZupraVisor i hate when idiots like you think that jazz is a porno music..

  • @SIMONDUKEN men i love jazz and i have a great CD collection of jazz albums with artist like mingus, dolphy , coltrane , coleman , etc , but cmon smooth jazz is totally porn music

  • @ZupraVisor do you play jazz? or just a listener?

  • @funkeety both

  • @ZupraVisor upload your video playing the real jazz... :)

  • @funkeety i dont have to prove anybody that smooth jazz is radio stuff and is the cancer that kills the perception of people about jazz , thinkin it can only be smooth , relaxing and soothing

  • @ZupraVisor you have to learn jazz as a whole... Jazz is much much much more than what you ever thought, people who learn "thick" kinda jazz also like to hear smooth jazz, even jazz virtuoso like joe pass also play smooth jazz in some of their jam session...

    it's not that thin...

  • Tal W. tone is M. Miller-ish

lick...trill....lick...trill...lick...trill. She is awesome though I must say, "I must I must". This guy has is own tonality for sure! I love solo's that have a singing quality!

  • This is "to have sex" song!!.

    XD

  • This is professional grade.

  • wow, amazing

  • whats the name of the song

  • HI!!! Have u got a Chord progression of these song please??

  • how do u set your amp's EQ to get this amazing smooth jazz tone?

  • kill the treble...almost...and kill the tone on your bass 1/2 way...thats how i get a very nice smooth jazz tone on my p-bass

  • jazz is the perfect music to calm you down and relax to. either that or flamenco guitar.

  • Nice!!!

  • Bass doesn't sound like your normal Musicman, what's different about it, flatwounds?

  • Nice phrasing ....

  • i ove how u put jazz in bass

  • Hey would anyone be able to tell me the chord progression please?

  • Hey does anyone know what this song is called?

  • Jazz is what defines American music ability. I challenge all who aspire to play to do some jazz to smooth out life's chaos. The bass is truely underappreciated. Good but short post.

  • @AmericanDeathHead underappreciated ? by who ? you ? not by me for sure ...

  • @Adekwatt he is not talking to you directly... in general he is right -__-

  • @AmericanDeathHead I totally agree, people critisize me all the time for playing bass "Why don't you play guitar its cooler." they say. No. Honestly i think bass is wayyy better because it is very important in every music genre

  • @bassganondork44129 Man, the jazz cats understand the importance of the bass! Walking into a jazz festival or playing a concert, I get tremendous respect as the bassist. Some bassists are underappreciated because they don't have the soul that is needed to be a bassist. Jazz is a musical lifestyle that never underestimates or doubts the power and soul of the bass.

  • @bassganondork44129 Bass sounds makes guitar's sound better because it blends in but Bass is better :)

  • @AmericanDeathHead But this isn't really jazz. It's muzak. Innocuous easy listening that's nice while you shop for groceries. Good melodic bass playing though.

  • @AmericanDeathHead Eh, don't want to burst your bubble, but jazz is not really a typical american thing, is it? And besides that, I'd rather give you guys props for great blues players more than jazz players.

  • @jedikkeoma Jazz was created completely in the US. It is the only musical structure that this country can lay rightful claim to. Now go fuck yourself.

  • @JesusSucksHorseCock The roots of jazz came from several places around the world and were not american. Jazz was the music of the African and Haitian people who were enslaved by americans. It has evolved in America, but unfortunately america does not have it's own cultural heratige because it's just a melting pot from a lot of other countries throughout the world. I have fucked myself, thank you.

  • @jedikkeoma Fuck yourself some more. You're good at it.

  • @JesusSucksHorseCock That is such a mature counter argument, it totally renders any of mine invalid. That's the american way of having conversation with one another, just say they should fuck themselves. Wow, no wonder we don't really win wars in Europe

  • @jedikkeoma alright i agree because i think its ridiculous how some americans are like that but please, I implore you, dont generalize. Not all americans are that way. Im an american. I respec europe and any american who doesnt is ignorant because great brittain is the reason we are here. so all im saying is i respect Europe and America and all music. and also i don't generalize so please don't sink to their level and generalize. it just makes people look ignorant.

  • @EFMotownEF You're right. And you're also right about the fact that europeans made America to what it is today. I'm dutch, and therefore a bit of a new yorker. There are more people in America with a dutch name than in Holland, isn't that funny? And you're totally right, i can't generalize all Americans, than I'd think that every American burns korans, and that's not true. Have a good weekend mate.

  • @AmericanDeathHead dude american music didn't invent jazz, came from blues. which came from the first black people that got tormented. but i have to agree with u on the bass being underappreciated, lots of things r in this world

  • Very good man, good felling, and tone! Keep doing it!

  • Thanks man !!...gets the mojo going.

  • ppl like u inspire me man... great bass tone.. great solo... great everythin man.. u deserve that bass

  • Unfortunately I grew up around the metal heads and the kids that only played one thing and one thing only. I only heard the same riffs and didn't really care for what I was playing. I've ruined my playing, good technique, but my vocabulary is very small. unless I'm improving off of something I can't play from scratch :P

  • Whats wrong with Metal?

  • I didn't say anything was wrong with Metal...

  • metal its more noise than music

  • @Nittybass Ignorance is bliss

  • @theroach, music is opinion.

  • In Soviet Russia, Opinion is music!!!

  • @theroach10 Where I come from, Soviet russia jokes fucking suck...give it up

  • i hear what you say.

  • This is sooo smoooth im listing to this song baked itss nice

  • fuck you

  • aww I bet it sounds amazing...because it already sounds like the gods perfected it!

  • can u give me the tabs of that solo

  • Comment removed

  • is that an olp bass?

  • Top notch playing man :)

  • That's awesome - I'm a death metal bassist but I'm going to start playing stuff like this because I really need to up my game :)

  • @warlockuk same here

  • @patrick61503 same here 2

  • You can really improve your playing by learning things you wouldn't normally play. Classify yourself as a bassist and not a death metal bassist and you can play anything. :D

  • Very True....Thumbs Up :D

Playing classical and jazz, although its not what i generally listen to(Rock/metal kinda guy :P)has improved my technique 10 fold...also,gives some creative ideas when it comes to writing;the bigger your musical..."Library",the more different kinds of styles you can incorporate into your songwriting :)

  • Yep, improving musical vocabulary is essential.

  • @Disturbed071 ya im a metalhead (death/thrash) but, i also play jazz and funk xD

  • Well that's good.

  • @AkoSiJaian666 But that's just cool, cause music is beautiful and you should like different types of it..I'm like that myself

  • wud listen to this allday... love the style

  • dude your play is awesome... but you have a lack of taste for sweaters !! lol

  • very smooth and enjoyable

  • I would like to think that some day i will be able to play like that. Thank you brother for this video it makes me want to practice and learn more bass playing.

  • @davomusic yea man... same here
