This is excellent, the yellow annonations are fantastic but the pink text at the bottom is really annoying and distracting (I'm half expecting you to mention your sister was bitten by an Elk) - that should stuff be in the text description.
This stuff is gold! im putting together an arrangement for a guitar audition for a jazz course in Australia and am having a ball checking this stuff out after my teacher told me to check out some piano players! this and the reharm you did are solid and im thinking about playing the reharmonization as a chord solo intro!
Beautiful! I am your fan! The keyboard and notes under (would be easier to follow above the keyboard though:)) are really helpful! Love your interpretation! Thank you!
Great stuff ! - If you haven't heard Tom Vincent, google - TomVincentMusic - he's an old friend. - I'd like to hear your version of "Stellar By Starlight" - All the best "jazz2511"
Is this arrangement based on the (famous?) Charlie Parker version? Or is Parker's version based on someone else's? I constantly get lost in the interpretations of standards, and who did what. Great playing as always though.
Thank you very much for posting. The notation really helps me see what's going on. I appreciate your willingness to pass on your knowledge to others.I love the delicate treatment of the tune rhythmically and harmonically!
I love this tune. I have watched a lot of your videos, I always learn new stuff. Could you please, watch a couple of my videos and let me know what I should do to improve my Playing? Be critical, I will not take offense.
Yes Doug....I remember downloading this midifile about 15 years ago. I've always enjoyed solo jazz piano as well as trio and quartets. After seeing this post, I'm thinking that I have several of your midi files in my collection. Thanks so much for the HQ video and all the notes and music theory. Now , I just need to make my fingers work like yours! :)
Hey Doug have you tried "Pianoteq" before? It's easily the most realistic sounding piano midi player for solo piano. The demo is pretty functional with the exception of a few missing notes but you get used to it.
what software are you using?

Does anyone know what program Mr jazz2511 uses to play back the MIDI files? I imagine this is a very helpful tool for learning piano songs.
