I think its should be illegal to tax anybody more than 25%, more than that is servitude and illegal under the 13th amendment.

Goldman Sachs released a forecast this week which estimates that Republican spending cuts would reduce GDP growth by 1.5% over the next 2 quarters. The rule of thumb is employment declines roughly 0.5 % of the labor force for every 1% decline in GDP. The forecast decline in employment if the Republicans get their way is around 350,000 jobs.

@worldnewsbbc1 The way GS calculated it is that if you cut x percentage of GDP in gov't spending (G) (spending doesn't include transfer payments i.e. entitlements) then you will lose y number of jobs. From an economist's point of view, it is not a very good method for job projection calculations. Also, it is a well known fact from the economist perspective that if you take away from gov't spending another variable will inevitably grow. Mathematically speaking 1 = C/Y + G/Y + I/Y (NX)/Y

Anyway, if you really want to leave a mark. Think in big terms. I think we all have grown & learned a lot in the last decade. Especially from our mistakes... We know our nation is in a jeopardy that we could not even imagine in our youth.

Rep Ryan, step up your game man. You know full well that Washington will always get out of control as indicated by the founders design. Some fiscal cons may hold some fleeting power in D.C. but with the tides so goes the control.
What you really need to do is use your national personal to warn and outright tell people that they must force their own states to get permanent caps in place which in turn limits D.C.
You have the platform and you know that your presence is finite. Make it count...
