i like the fact that they talked about the difference between micro and macro evolution. certainly everyone can agree on micro-evolution, i can't imagine anyone denying that.

The Galapagos finches are multiple genuses. That means they aren't even the same species. They are even one more step removed.

The fact is, speciation has occurred. At least two species can no longer produce viable offspring with any other species. They are permanently genetically isolated.

Evolution is a fact. Things change (evolve) over time. Same animals that lived 100 million years ago dont live today.

There are plenty muslims beliving in evolution (ive googled). You are bright enough to understand it. Cant you just incorporate it into your belief?

To me evolution does not even seem to take anything away from belief. So what if god created evolution?

And I probably know "even" more than you about this theory

And I also know how much of it is fact(variations,adaptations,natural selection)

And I also know how much of it is all about a hopeless dream to happen(the dead to alive matter - no information to perfect systems - stupid bacteria to "stupid" humans THROUGH RANDOM MUTATIONS)

so most of us, end up wondering around, fumbling in the dark, not even learning the mentality required, that of understanding from first principle. obviously this is an essential at university, post graduate, but not pre-graduate......... and even then it seems that some post graduate degrees aren't nothing but commercial products, and many othe posts are taken just so a quota can be filled for research students, lackys.

joe somewhere along the line the british education system has messed up, instead of teaching things from first principle fromthe beginning, no matter how difficult, we have been teaching stuff/info/whatever from bottom down...... ok something has been established, by the academics, now put the result into the curriculum without how the think was proved, not even a basic explaination.

No I do not represent the scientific community, I am an engineer. There is a lot of science in what I do, I have studied thermo science in perticular and aspects of quantum theory, but that has no bearing on this at all!.

The facts of the matter are these guys are frauds who pervert the scientific message and poison ppl with there malevolent subversion.

And what will be achieved if they will, generations of ppl growing up knowing fuck all about science!...

Your simply playing with language. Evolution is widely accepted by pretty much everyone with a brain, the only ppl that 'don't feel comfortable' with evolution are ppl with a theistic axe to grind and it is worse than that because these ppl want to push their unfounded, unscientific ideas on everyone else.

Worse still, these ppl link 'Darwinism' (what ever that is) with eugenics or immorality, which is complete nonsense!.

you need to teach people to be scientific from day one, now both you and me aren't part of that community, and you aren't exempt because of your field of study, but because you like me wasn't one of 1 in 100 hundred, the fluke, that abnormal freak.

and if you was, then evolution wouldn't sit easy with you, even if you accept it scientifically. there is no scientist who honestly feels at ease with the fundermental assumptions of evolutions. and these vids expose that.

my statement was based on the fact they are doing robust thinking, if evolution as it stands sits at ease for the one group that should fully feel at ease with it, then they wouldn't feel the need for robust thinking, and hence evolution wouldn't be taught as degrees. the fact that there are evolutions working is proof.

i think we are in two different leagues, my friend. i really don't think a continued dialogue would be productive.

i also have mechanical engineering degree from QMW, and i'm sure many others do including the poster, and i remember what it took for most to pass their degree, to much information to remember, getting past papers, regurgitating info, without understanding anything, not the why and the how, no first principle explaination, not even fromthe lecturers........... the hope was that 1 in 100 would be so dedicated that onto of commiting his life to memorization, he will self teach from 1st principle.

Every real scientist that is being objective!.

There is currently about m0.1 percent of scientists (all theists by the way) that do not belief ion evolution and it is always for pseudo theistic/political reasons!.

It's pretty silly that these people pursue this avenue knowing full well they haven't a leg to stand on factually or scientifically!.

They are deluded fools that seem to equate evolution with immorality, they are in short, idiots!.

Great to hear about your studies. I just know what is in the books. Its all available there or on the internet.

You did not include genetic drift in that list which is very important.

And you do now that mutations are constant. The selection that acts upon it and the result has nothing random about it.

For the mathematics of mutationrate,bad/good mutations I recommed solving a genetic programming-problem.

Charles Darwin was a superb scientist. Darwin did not prove evolution happened and happens, nor did he even try to. No scientist tried to prove evolution happened and happens.
