Damn, i'm lucky my Loyale waggie's got a 5S. The only upside to the automatic is that you can have the camera in your hand and the wheel in the other.
Oh don't be blaming a motor blowing on a filter, unless there was an obvious problem with it (like the filter imploding.) Shit happens, like you said a fluke or something. But Fram gets too much negativity, sure it's cheaply made but that's what it is a cheap filter. If you wanna buy a better filter use more money. But I use the cheapest filter I can find with the cheapest oil on my Ford Explorer that has 180k miles on it and I'm having no problems. Though, I do change it every 2k-3k miles.
@EasyGoVideos yeah thats why every 3 out of 4 cars at the wrecking yard have frams on them a good oil filter is about the same price as a crap fram i buy wix or atleast purolater
oil change every 2-3k miles is crazy unless your a commercial driver and put on 300 miles a day or something you dont need to change oil that often in most cases 5k miles is just fine
@goingdownthetubes That's probably more due to the fact that Fram is one of the most commonly used oil filters. Look, I'm not saying Fram is good by any means, but blaming an engine going out at under 100k on a filter is silly, especially on a car that is supposed to "last forever"
And no I don't drive that much, but I do ride my car rough. Not only do I drive rough when I'm off roading, but also my auto trans is going out and I spend a lot of driving in first gear.
My friend owns a 1991 Subaru Loyale 4WD 5-speed wagon. It gets good gas mileage for a 4WD but it's so plain-jane inside, it has manual windows/locks but powered mirrors. Even the radio is the stock AM/FM radio.
@talldude123 i wish my car had power steering, power locks , power windows i hate having to lean over to roll the windows and the worst is not having power locks , its so nice to just unlock the drivers door and the rest unlock , so your friends dont have to stand there and wait or you go out to the car because you forgeot something then you have to go to the other side because you forgot to unock the passenger door UGH
@hanksranger 65mph at 4k is right 5k at 75 its crazy
i dont know its crazy but in 1990 the legacy came out with a 4 speed auto just not in the loyale
it doesnt make any sense , i mean you could buy a turbo subaru gl-10 with a 4 speed auto and 4wd in 1987 but only on the turbo models in 1991 the turbo model was dropped along with the dual range transfercase as appose to the push button 4wd that continued
@goingdownthetubes nice car, dude. I got the wagon but its the same car. wow shitty 3AT like mine too hahaha. stay classy dude
