this tank is amazing, i painted my stand yesterday and im putting my tank in today. its a 55 gallon tank ive got the rocks and drift wood for it but yours looks so cool like its a growing root system, howd you do that? it looks so realistic, ill probably get the plants saturday cause i have to go get mice for my snake anyway. im just putting pike and bass and bream in there cause im moving out next year so i can just let them go when i move and set up again in my apartment with something cooler
I placed the rootsystem first and attached it with PUR that was also used for the rocky backpanels. All PUR was cut into wanted formations and then covered with 2 layers of coloured resin. Wilst resin was still wet, same sand as bottumsand was brougth in/on the wet resin. Use of course resin that is OK for fish! Good luck.
thanks but what is PUR? my tank is now set up but the drift wood dyed the water brown so i have to take some water out a 10-29 gallons a night and refill which sucks...i caught a lot of small mullet in a cast net and put some in the tank, they swim all over in a school which is pretty cool looking
No, I don't use one. I'm filtering in a sump of 200 l, with 4 compartments; and then over a trickle filter. Every 2 weeks 1/3 water from the tank is being refreshed with fresh tap water.
Thats nice, because each Discus need at least 10 Gallons to gain its potentials, it would be easier if you click the reply button so it would notify me =]

@TropicalFish121
Yes you can keep one couple of discus in 100l tank. But don't forget to use o good filter, and change 1/3 of the water every week. Good luck.
