Does anyone remember or know of any existing audio from when WHT Wometco home theater took over the broadcast day at 8pm. The signal would become scrambled where you would need a subscription based converter box. The audio is that of a older gentleman who would talk about WHT and play music over that scrambled picture on u68.
@PatriciaSmear That audio was known as the "Barker Channel", and would explain to people watching that the picture was intentionally scrambled and that "there's nothing wrong with your set". The announcer would provide information about all the movies and sporting events that were available to subscribers, interspersed with songs such as "Arthur's Theme" by Christopher Cross. I probably have a couple of seconds of that announcer's voice on tape somewhere.

The old Floyd Show theme song from 1974 to 1998.

The music bed heard over the promo for "Wall Street Perspective," I recall as the opening theme for WOR-TV's "5:30 News" as of 1974.
