guys for some reason i can't turn up the settings on this. I put it to high and then the game restarts to apply the settings and then when it starts the setings are the same. i know its not just because my card is shit cus i can max out crysis and MW2. I think the tactical space marine are weak and too expensive, the eldar shuriken cannon team are way too powerfull or too cheap ... is it just me or some unit are not so well balanced ?

Actually getting a top end system is rather cheap now, if you add up the price, one of the best deals out there atm would be to grab yourself an AMD set up on a budget, hell you can even go as far as to have a duel GPU rig thanks to firewire. Though I must warn you AMD set ups, more specifically the ATi cards run HOT, even with their inbuilt awesome cooling systems built by partner companies versions of their chip sets, so having a cooling tower is a must, and avoid dust...
Yes more than enough :), My dual core 2.4ghz processor runs it fine, although i need a better graphics card for it because the one I have right now is 7900 GS so I cant run it completely smooth on max, but it will run fine on medium settings .
yes. Invest in a new graphics card. I recommend a HD5770 on a budget. Coupled with that you should be able to run it on max settings, + 2 monitors if you ever get bored of one :)

I like to have the disc for my games and not to be dependant from internet if I want to play campaign/reinstall. What happens to all your downloaded games if steam has a big problem also?
you can play them offline, also you can backed up games in steam, generating an installer with the latest version of the game, so if you really want to have the disc, just back it up, burn it and done.

Yep the latest GPUs prices drop HEAPS within 2 months of their release, from around $600US to $250 US within a period of just 3 months. And you only really need to replace your GPU every 2 years (that's if it lasts for 2 years, ATi cards would, but Nvidea cards, not so sure, because Nvidea have a very dodgy driver that sometimes plays up, but think they have fixed that, lost a GPU to a driver that ran the fan too slow).

Wel it's Real Time Strategy not Real Time Building. The only thing i'm pissed of about is the lack of turrets since i'm a defensive player but i managed to adapt.
No other buildings.You only have a HQ that brings in units (and that you can upgrade to get better units) and a defensive turret placed near the HQ. Upgrades and weapons are purchased directly from the units.

Yeah COD is a bit over rated Fallout 3 desearves a higher score thats truly a amazing game. CSS and half-life are really the best fps out there still play CSS every day but COD4 is also very entertaining. COD3 and COD5 where not very good shooters i can agree with that but COD4 is a good game.

It would be absolutely awesome if they let you customize each individual units color. I mean like different color shoulder pads and different head pieces for show. Almost like the race car game I think forza motor sports where they give you a few different shapes that you can rotate and size to make almost any image that you can think of.

u mean first person view rather than over the top view of ur army. its just a personal thing in what u like i also think COD is over rated lol. last good shooter iv played i think was id hate to say half life 2 episode 2.. fallout 3 was amazing but its technically not a real FPS when u factor all the RPG and other factors. COD was good up to COD 2 after that i think they started to lose its touch. just like tom clansy games rogue spear was amazing after that blah

Yeah COD is a bit over rated Fallout 3 desearves a higher score thats truly a amazing game. CSS and half-life are really the best fps out there still play CSS every day but COD4 is also very entertaining. COD3 and COD5 where not very good shooters i can agree with that but COD4 is a good game.

I really need a new computer...Warhammer games...Total War....Age of Empires...WoW...God, I'm missing out so badly it's frustrating. I'm stuck with the assholes on Starcraft or Xbox with no Live connection. My life sucks...and that's only the gaming aspect of it.

strange.. Div X shouldn't affect the game since that's a video player. I think you mean Direct X and maybe you need the right version 9.0C or whatever version they're using.

It would be absolutely awesome if they let you customize each individual units color. I mean like different color shoulder pads and different head pieces for show. Almost like the race car game I think forza motor sports where they give you a few different shapes that you can rotate and size to make almost any image that you can think of.

There is no monthly.
You will quickly notice a large amount of bugs with the game. But they've fixed a lot of them recently.
