i know already that brianne ended up winning, but why did they just assume that one of them would win? "This year, one of these teenage riders will win the Maclay Championship"......
these riders are good, no one can deny that. but if you look at the thousands of riders that are JUST as good or better, but just cant afford the horses and to compete at this level and it's really just not fair. If every rider could afford these same horses, I can bet there would probably be a whole different set of maclay finalists
@cheepooluvr i'm not denying that there is a whole lot of riding talent out there––but it's been called "the King's Sport" for centuries. Wanna guess why?
Horseback riding is not a sport...It's a Life style. We put are Blood, Sweat, and tears into it. We risk our lives everyday because we want to. we get thrown from horse and break arms and fingers and we just bandage it up and get right back on. We do it for the passion and dedication we all have for the sport. We do it because it is a part of us. We do it because we can!
@Sky4Love1 that is so true. riders suck it up when we get hurt because we know that we have to be tough around such big animals. i broke 3 of my toes when my horse Terri stepped on it. i asked my barn manager 2 tape it up and then i continued with my schooling. You have to have passion and a great teammate if you really want to win a ribbon!
I think these girls have a lot of talent and passion but this TV show kind of misses the point of the bond and the time. You know? Like, you don't need a half a million dollar horse to get here.
they need a show for competitive trails... Ive been riding for 8 years and whenever i suggest to my mom that i want to compete she just laughs at me... my school may be getting equestrian events next year and then she wouldn't be able to say no
For anyone that says horse back riding isn't a sport, I would love to see you even try this. This week 5 years ago, I bought my horse who couldt even jump yet. This year, we are qualifying for nationals. No, I'm not rich, and no he wasnt a half a million dollars. With hard work and years of triaing, I could only dream of doing well, but it's the fact of actually making it there. Daddy isn't paying my way, i'm doing it myself. Congrats to all these kids. They need another tv show like this!!
@eliza671 no you can't, because that means having to find the horse, plus you have to have a name behind your trainer, it's a lot more than that. and most of the time you aren't a good enough rider till your 15 and to train a horse then you are usually to old to do it....
@SClucy okay whats the problem with finding a horse? and you don't need to have the top trainer everyone knows, as long as they teach you to the right thing, whats stopping you from competing? yourself. And most people are not ready at 15, but I'm saying if you are good enough, there should be nothing stopping you.
most of these horses are push button and already trained... if you want to see a real rider, go look at the people who train the horses before this big money girls get on them.
@horsegirl71794 Like Maggie :P. (which was why I was rooting for her) I agree mostly, but they really do have the core position that only comes from quite a lot of practice.
personaly I dont agree at all. Yes these horses are very fancy, but that doesnt make the easy to ride. Even if they were "made" or "push-button" a little kid with no riding sexperiance couldnt hop on the horses back and go around those courses like a pro.
@horsegirl71794 thats not true! horses are always surprising you. it could be a push button horse but then it could always just throw the rider off too
@horsegirl71794 thats not true! horses are always surprising you. it could be a push button horse but then it could always just throw the rider off too
@horsegirl71794 if that was true the girls wouldn't bother taking lessons and would just show up the day of the show and ride.. whats the point in getting on and training everyday with a 'push button' it already knows what its doing so riding all the time is irrelevant. am i correct?
@horsegirl71794 Those horses are not push button. I have ridden a few horses at that level and have watched many horses at tha level and heck lot of them are not pish button. They are fancy but you cant just oint them at a jump and they will jump it they need confidence. If you watch the whole show you will see there are refusals and falls. Even the top horses are not push buttons. Like the barn Im moving to has been to maclay many years and the horses they take their are far from push button.
@horsegirl71794 I know you posted your comment like a year ago buttt... no horse is completely push button... I've ridden the green and the nice A circuit horses. they are both difficult, just in different ways. What's wrong with owning nice horses anyways?
all horses have a lot of potential and yes Warmbloods are flashy and showy but any horse that can jump a 3'6 fence and look good should be worthy of Maclay as long as the rider rides well too. :)
for what everyones talking about, how expensive it is, its going to be super expensive no matter where you are, but if your really set on it, it IS possible. like right now, im at a small barn leasing a horse that can take me there rather than owning, working to pay for my lease and shows and choosing what shows i do very carefully. it can be done
Man these girls have worked their butts off to get where they are! I have just bought my medal/maclay horse and she is in training as we speak! I can't wait to make it to these girl's level.
But like Horse Power did a great job informing the public about the big eq medals, a good dressage show would do the same. I was a h/j rider for over 4years and had a blast. But dressage has a blast all of its own that is very different than jumping but still equally fun and amazing if not more in some cases.
and I seem to recall there was an olympic runner, who the olympic commitee denied shoes for because they 'only had enough for those we thought will win'.
He borrowed some shoes, and won the gold medal for that race.
So you see, if you want it that bad, and work hard with what you have, it IS possible.
I really like this show, and I watch it over and over again! :D There's only one little thing that I dislike about it.
When the narrator says:
"Everyone know teenage girls can be horse crazy, but these girls have taken it to a whole new level."
It makes it sound as if just because they have bigger and better oppritunities than someone like me, and they get to ride extremely expensive horses, certainly doesn't mean that they are any more horse crazy than a girl like me.
technically, if you have been in the A show circuit for a while, having your name known, you can lease a horse for the show/circuit which is less than owning a big medal horse your self. But you still need to put the money into leasing a nice horse, paying for the shows, and getting your self known on the circuit by riding other nice horses
but technically you cant do this without alot of money, even if you "really want it"
i dont think u hav to be well known to get a lease...more likely youur trainer haas to be iin a good network to get a good horse like logan for example. but i agree even if you r a working student its still expensive but catch-riding is a solution but u have to be good at it because they want their horse sold. maria is a good rider so it worked out fine. and maggie had to be good at training ponies or-else her little business wold not be very successful.
You can work off the hours at a barn, most likely.
There are horses to lease, and if you're lucky you can also work off a lease.
I have no clue how much the fees for a show are, seeing as I don't show myself [but I would LOVE to...] but I mean, if this is your dream you have to go for it with all you got.
yea, but you don't need "fancy show barns" to really get somewhere. You just need a trainer that knows what their doing.
And maybe that's what it costs where you live, but the prices can very depending on where you live, as do the owners who may or may not let someone be a working student.
and if you want to go to the maclay you should start out on smaller shows and for extra practice go to the hampton classic the jumps are beautiful, challenging and will get you ready for the maclay. it may seem like a lot of work but its worth it. ive been training for the maclay and i will be going to the hampton classic at the end of the summer as my last show before the maclay so see some of you there
you dont have to have a lot of money to go to the maclay. if you rlly want to go to all the big shows you have to REALLY want it. i dont have a lot of money especially in the economy today. i volunteered to get riding lessons 7 days a week on my horse training myself wasnt enough. if u work at ur barn for lessons it also gets your strength up a lot! and u get a better bond with your horse.
well, you need to have a lot of money to reach all this, they offered me a free horse, wich was worth like 100.000 dollar, and I still didn't get it. and I'm not learning to much without a horse, so you definitly need to have money to get all this!!!
OMG i know how u feel! tho im trying to work out something where i can work in exchange for free riding and showing. Im only riding three times a week which i guess is good, but notgood enough if i want to really move up
well what I have to do is I've worked out a lease with my trainer, I get free rides and lessons on her horse that I'm going to start showing in these shows soon. but to get that i have to help her at the smaller shows with her other students, bathing, grooming, tacking, schooling, and warming up the other horses. i also help her during lessons, raising/lowering the jumps, moving jumps, setting up courses, all that. and on top of everything i also clean stalls every afternoon. its takes a lot of-
I only ride once a week and i have been riding for 4 years. I am trying to go in shows. Show season (for my type of riding) starts in less than a month!! I have prooved that im good enough to go in big shows. If only my parents could afford all the shows I can go in
I know, and those girl have tons on skill, as seen.
I like the series, as it's entertaining, and I love hunter/eq, but I think it portrays a picture of everyone being all happy, and getting what they want easily, (not saying making it to Maclays and Hampton was easy..) not adressing the fact that they have a lot more than most girls will ever get... Not saying it's wrong in any way, though.
Not really. Maria Schuab is one of the junior riders that isn't exactly loaded with cash. She only has one horse, yet she is still one of top riders. Lindsay Smith also in another example.
Lucky...I just ride once a week in lessons, but at least I get to ride some. I want to do jumpers! I do hunters, but I dont' ride enough to be super good. I'm better at speed and the athleticism of it as opposed to the beauty and grace sense...plus, I like to ride crazy horses : )
I have a warmblood that i found dirt cheap because he was supposedly a piece of s***, well after discovering some arthritis and previous injuries that were left untreated, and we were able to fix al that...he became the best horse at our barn....just goes to show you that this high level of riding is too often a money game and everybody immediatly judges the horses they come across from the outside, without actually getting to know the horse and how it works and if it really has what it takes
thats how my pony now is! when people first saw him they were like oh hes cute... but nothing special once he got clipped and back in shape everyone is like wow u have such a fancy pony!
ya, but thats not what I mean. I meant how beautiful and rythmic the horse goes and how high it jumps is amazing and to be worried about a knocked rail is silly.
does anyone know if frank madden ever won/competed in any of the eq medals as a junior rider himself???? its kinda like he just came out of nowhere as one of the top trainers in the country! i cant find anything of how he started out!!
I take a bit of offence to the fact that they consider these the best equitation riders in the world. Theyre awesome, no doubt, but in Canada, our equitation final, the CET Medal, is not only 3'9, (the Maclay is 3'6), the REGIONAL finals consist of a horse swap, and the national finals are as, if not more competitive than the maclay. Us Canadians always get left in the shadows. =(
i definitely i agree. it's very unfortunate that to go far money will determine just how far you will go. i don't think i could ever afford to keep a horse at my barn, that and buying a horse. boarding is like $850 a month. eek.
It is, although u have it pretty lucky, 850 a month, thats awesome! my board would be 1500 a month! lol im not saying 850 isnt alot of money to be shelling out every month.
1500 a month?!! =O wow that is crazy, what kind of parents would you need to maintain a horse there? lol i mean i typically hear an average boarding price would be like 600 a month so i thought the 850 was bad.
lol ud have 2 have parents with money! gosh i wish my board would be 850. i always see the sites for barns that include like clipping and turn out and tack ups(id tack my own anyway tho) and like braiding and everthing and board is like 400 and then my barn doesnt include any of that and its 1500 its crazy
Oh wow. Mine's $475 plus $15 extra for blanket service oct. to marchish! I recently moved from the Midwest and most barns there were about $250-$300!! Wow that's a lot! It only cost me about $915 a month to take of him and get two lessons a week, wow...
@sportsbabe27 the board at my barn is around $800 for one of the big indoor stalls, and that includes feed, turnout, and blanketing. That's a fair price, but board at top show barns is like $2,000-3,000 a month
@sportsbabe27 yup - when you put it in perspective it's a lot of money. If its $2,500 a month and you own a horse, then you are spending 30 grand a year on board. That's enough to buy another decent eq prospect warmblood!
I wish I had this kind of money to afford great trainers and great horses. Though I love my horse and wouldnt trade him for anything in the world EVER. But i wish my barn at least had a sand ring or an indoor ring :P
...and this is where it all started. My sister saw this, fell in love with it all, and what do you know, she's one of Frank's newest students. It's pretty cool though, and who knows, if there is ever a Horse Power 2, I might get to be on TV! :D
okay wait: they said that they are among the BEST TEENAGE RIDERS IN THE WORLD...the world? i think that that is just a little over the top, its mostly their horses! take for example,me,i used to ride @ this barn where they had 2 school horses who were very inexperienced and had MANY vices! the horses had minimal care and the barn had 1 arena which was tiny and had no jumps, i had always though i sucked as a rider and i wanted to be 'good' more than anything...true story continues...
...so i have recently switched barns and have recently got the chance to lease a a horse,I have tried out a horse who was worth 50,000 and when i looked @ the video i looked just like the riders on here if not better(not to be boastful)but i cant afford to compete @ AA rated shows every weekend and travel the states etc. and if i could i bet i would be just as good as these riders so the point im trying to make is that these riders are....continues...
among the best RICH riders in the world is what they should of said, cuz how can they make such a big of a statement of they havent seen every rider ride. Just sayin! :P
haha =) but I agree, i mean they have to be good to jump that high and control their horses and stuff but the horse has a big part in it. But also, riding a horse once might not show much of him, but its riding him all the time that will show if your good or not :P
i think it was kind of mean for them to say "America's finest will be challenged by a long shot" in the bginning about the one girl who wasn't as rich i guess because obviously she's good enough, you can't just one day decide you want to go to a top show and compete against really good riders, she HAD to work for it just as hard if not harder than the other riders.
I'm sure that the reason they called Lindsey the longshot is because anyone who hasn't competed in the Maclay before and doesn't get to ride at a competitive show barn all the time doesn't have as good of a chance of being able to win the Maclay. I'm not saying she is a bad rider or isn't as good as the other riders...of course she just as good as the other riders, she just doesn't have experience or some of the advantages that the others have riders have...it's not mean...it's reality!
Ive had to work my but off 2 get where i am now i dont ride at a competitive show barn or anything i dont have a super fancy warmblood. You dont have to have money to get to the top i do the a shows and everything and my parents are not ricxh by anymeans but i got a few lucky chances and took them. i took a pony i basically trained myself to an a show and we won . he definetly wasnt fancy HE WAS A PAINT so you def. dont have to have a frggin 2.mill paycheck a year to ride at the as and aas..
yea i wasn't saying that you have to be rich or any of that other stuff all i was saying is that she didn't have a big trainer helping her and she wasn't as talented/experienced as the other riders so she probably didnt have as high of a chance of winning a national medal final
No Horse Power was made before/during the 2005 Maclay and there hasn't been any new seasons of Horse Power since then. They should make another season of Horse Power! It's the best show EVER!!!
I love Brianne she is a role model for young riders!!! They all are.

good show barns have barn crew, and don't let kids work at the barn with their expensive horses.
leases are at least 12,000 a year for a good horse
show fees are about 600 for a local show and 1000 for a far away show.

well, you need to have a lot of money to reach all this, they offered me a free horse, wich was worth like 100.000 dollar, and I still didn't get it. and I'm not learning to much without a horse, so you definitly need to have money to get all this!!!

ive been sponsored before...so don't be calling me a dumbass.....
poniezrock301 2 years ago
Ditto. utopiaia all you have to be is a good rider to get a sponsor...
pureclass01 2 years ago
not only be a good rider
you first need to have a horse!!
and you wont get any further without a horse

equitation riders dont get endorsements or sponsors

OMG i know how u feel! tho im trying to work out something where i can work in exchange for free riding and showing. Im only riding three times a week which i guess is good, but notgood enough if i want to really move up
ridinghigh13 3 years ago
well what I have to do is I've worked out a lease with my trainer, I get free rides and lessons on her horse that I'm going to start showing in these shows soon. but to get that i have to help her at the smaller shows with her other students, bathing, grooming, tacking, schooling, and warming up the other horses. i also help her during lessons, raising/lowering the jumps, moving jumps, setting up courses, all that. and on top of everything i also clean stalls every afternoon. its takes a lot of-
cheepooluvr 2 years ago
-work to do this if you DONT have the money, but its not impossible. if you REALLY want it, theres always a way to get there.
cheepooluvr 2 years ago
I only ride once a week and i have been riding for 4 years. I am trying to go in shows. Show season (for my type of riding) starts in less than a month!! I have prooved that im good enough to go in big shows. If only my parents could afford all the shows I can go in
HorseFever596 2 years ago 2
I hate this.
It just shows some lucky girls with millions of dollars getting to do something people like me can only dream about.
allymiluv 3 years ago 5
it takes real skill and not just money. i know money is a big part of it but you dont get to the maclay without having alot of talent.
hunterjumpereq 2 years ago
I know, and those girl have tons on skill, as seen.
I like the series, as it's entertaining, and I love hunter/eq, but I think it portrays a picture of everyone being all happy, and getting what they want easily, (not saying making it to Maclays and Hampton was easy..) not adressing the fact that they have a lot more than most girls will ever get... Not saying it's wrong in any way, though.
allymiluv 2 years ago
Not really. Maria Schuab is one of the junior riders that isn't exactly loaded with cash. She only has one horse, yet she is still one of top riders. Lindsay Smith also in another example.
u2snumberonefan 2 years ago
I remember this series! I love it! *sigh* I wish I could own a horse like those and do this kinda thing.....
Hobbit955 3 years ago 2
I know.. I'm gonna do jumpers soon but I hope I can find a horse xD
3quineJumper 3 years ago
Lucky...I just ride once a week in lessons, but at least I get to ride some. I want to do jumpers! I do hunters, but I dont' ride enough to be super good. I'm better at speed and the athleticism of it as opposed to the beauty and grace sense...plus, I like to ride crazy horses : )
Hobbit955 3 years ago 2
lucky i only ride once every two weeks cause my barn is an hour away..

I have a warmblood that i found dirt cheap because he was supposedly a piece of s***, well after discovering some arthritis and previous injuries that were left untreated, and we were able to fix al that...he became the best horse at our barn....just goes to show you that this high level of riding is too often a money game and everybody immediatly judges the horses they come across from the outside, without actually getting to know the horse and how it works and if it really has what it takes

one of the other episodes a horse knocks a rail and they said thats the worst thing a horse could do lol!!!
SolFactor 3 years ago
In stiff, difficult competition, maybe. It could mean the difference between going to finals, or going home.
HunterJumper226 3 years ago
ya, but thats not what I mean. I meant how beautiful and rythmic the horse goes and how high it jumps is amazing and to be worried about a knocked rail is silly.
SolFactor 3 years ago
Yes but a knocked rail can make you lose EVERYTHING.
HunterJumper226 3 years ago
who cares when you have a horse such as theirs?

does anyone know if frank madden ever won/competed in any of the eq medals as a junior rider himself???? its kinda like he just came out of nowhere as one of the top trainers in the country! i cant find anything of how he started out!!
eqrider19 3 years ago
good question!
madicarr 3 years ago
He didn't come out of nowhere for in regards to finals winners - Stacia Klein (Madden) won a final or 2 training with him.
supershorty628 3 years ago
i know he has TRAINED final winners before but i was wondering if HE RODE in the finals as a junior?
eqrider19 3 years ago
Easy there, Sparky, I could have been replying to madicarr. I understood you.

well i got the email that that was a reply to me. and ur not funny by the way

supershorty628 3 years ago 2
wow hilarious
eqrider19 3 years ago
I take a bit of offence to the fact that they consider these the best equitation riders in the world. Theyre awesome, no doubt, but in Canada, our equitation final, the CET Medal, is not only 3'9, (the Maclay is 3'6), the REGIONAL finals consist of a horse swap, and the national finals are as, if not more competitive than the maclay. Us Canadians always get left in the shadows. =(
kadyhobbins 3 years ago 2
Agreed. But I thought the CET was 3'6? Or is the finals just 3'9?
KarlyyMiracle 3 years ago
nope it's 3'9.
WATERMELONISTASTEY 3 years ago
Well you learn something new everyday. Because I know that the mini CET is 3'3 (I'm doing it next year, hopefully) so I thought it was 3'6.

lucky! mine is $2,990 a month!
H0RSECRAZYx32 3 years ago
Ooouch!! Where do you ride?

beyeart farm, but it's a private show jumping barn so it's no wonder why it's so expensive :P

I love Frank madden. Hes so nice and a GREAT trainer.
XRedxDanniX 3 years ago
Ok i love how in the beginning they say that what you need to win the best prize in teenage riding is a good partner, but u also need A LOT of money
sportsbabe27 3 years ago 3
i definitely i agree. it's very unfortunate that to go far money will determine just how far you will go. i don't think i could ever afford to keep a horse at my barn, that and buying a horse. boarding is like $850 a month. eek.
RodimusX 3 years ago 4
It is, although u have it pretty lucky, 850 a month, thats awesome! my board would be 1500 a month! lol im not saying 850 isnt alot of money to be shelling out every month.
sportsbabe27 3 years ago
1500 a month?!! =O wow that is crazy, what kind of parents would you need to maintain a horse there? lol i mean i typically hear an average boarding price would be like 600 a month so i thought the 850 was bad.
RodimusX 3 years ago
lol ud have 2 have parents with money! gosh i wish my board would be 850. i always see the sites for barns that include like clipping and turn out and tack ups(id tack my own anyway tho) and like braiding and everthing and board is like 400 and then my barn doesnt include any of that and its 1500 its crazy
sportsbabe27 3 years ago
do you ride at a very competitive show barn? cuz seriously i've never heard or seen 1500 before for boarding. eek
wow 400 for boarding haha i wish we had that maybe then i would have considered possibly buying a horse 2 years ago =P
RodimusX 3 years ago
no i dont show, its just that my barn is the only really nice barn near nyc
sportsbabe27 3 years ago
i mean like its right outside nyc so close u can get there by subway, there r tons of nice barns upstate
sportsbabe27 3 years ago
Thats insane. My barn is 250 a month!
XRedxDanniX 3 years ago
wow lucky u!
sportsbabe27 3 years ago
Oh wow. Mine's $475 plus $15 extra for blanket service oct. to marchish! I recently moved from the Midwest and most barns there were about $250-$300!! Wow that's a lot! It only cost me about $915 a month to take of him and get two lessons a week, wow...
EquiRider 3 years ago
@sportsbabe27 the board at my barn is around $800 for one of the big indoor stalls, and that includes feed, turnout, and blanketing. That's a fair price, but board at top show barns is like $2,000-3,000 a month
maclaydreamer87 1 year ago
@maclaydreamer87 No I know, I'm at a show barn now and the board is $2,500 a month.
sportsbabe27 1 year ago
@sportsbabe27 yup - when you put it in perspective it's a lot of money. If its $2,500 a month and you own a horse, then you are spending 30 grand a year on board. That's enough to buy another decent eq prospect warmblood!
maclaydreamer87 1 year ago
I wish I had this kind of money to afford great trainers and great horses. Though I love my horse and wouldnt trade him for anything in the world EVER. But i wish my barn at least had a sand ring or an indoor ring :P
equineangel91 3 years ago 3
ugh and i wish i could ride 7 days a week :P
equineangel91 3 years ago
...and this is where it all started. My sister saw this, fell in love with it all, and what do you know, she's one of Frank's newest students. It's pretty cool though, and who knows, if there is ever a Horse Power 2, I might get to be on TV! :D

equitationrider22 3 years ago
okay wait: they said that they are among the BEST TEENAGE RIDERS IN THE WORLD...the world? i think that that is just a little over the top, its mostly their horses! take for example,me,i used to ride @ this barn where they had 2 school horses who were very inexperienced and had MANY vices! the horses had minimal care and the barn had 1 arena which was tiny and had no jumps, i had always though i sucked as a rider and i wanted to be 'good' more than anything...true story continues...
LiveLaughRide07 3 years ago
...so i have recently switched barns and have recently got the chance to lease a a horse,I have tried out a horse who was worth 50,000 and when i looked @ the video i looked just like the riders on here if not better(not to be boastful)but i cant afford to compete @ AA rated shows every weekend and travel the states etc. and if i could i bet i would be just as good as these riders so the point im trying to make is that these riders are....continues...
LiveLaughRide07 3 years ago
among the best RICH riders in the world is what they should of said, cuz how can they make such a big of a statement of they havent seen every rider ride. Just sayin! :P
LiveLaughRide07 3 years ago
haha =) but I agree, i mean they have to be good to jump that high and control their horses and stuff but the horse has a big part in it. But also, riding a horse once might not show much of him, but its riding him all the time that will show if your good or not :P
XsecretXidentityX 3 years ago

and thank SO much for putting this show up!

thank u for uploading this i miss watching this show
turnNburn84 3 years ago
i think it was kind of mean for them to say "America's finest will be challenged by a long shot" in the bginning about the one girl who wasn't as rich i guess because obviously she's good enough, you can't just one day decide you want to go to a top show and compete against really good riders, she HAD to work for it just as hard if not harder than the other riders.
huntrjumprx 3 years ago
I'm sure that the reason they called Lindsey the longshot is because anyone who hasn't competed in the Maclay before and doesn't get to ride at a competitive show barn all the time doesn't have as good of a chance of being able to win the Maclay. I'm not saying she is a bad rider or isn't as good as the other riders...of course she just as good as the other riders, she just doesn't have experience or some of the advantages that the others have riders have...it's not mean...it's reality!
showmanshipstar 3 years ago
Ive had to work my but off 2 get where i am now i dont ride at a competitive show barn or anything i dont have a super fancy warmblood. You dont have to have money to get to the top i do the a shows and everything and my parents are not ricxh by anymeans but i got a few lucky chances and took them. i took a pony i basically trained myself to an a show and we won . he definetly wasnt fancy HE WAS A PAINT so you def. dont have to have a frggin 2.mill paycheck a year to ride at the as and aas..
showjumppony 3 years ago
yea i wasn't saying that you have to be rich or any of that other stuff all i was saying is that she didn't have a big trainer helping her and she wasn't as talented/experienced as the other riders so she probably didnt have as high of a chance of winning a national medal final
