The thing that stands out the most to me about that defense, even though we got a lot of interceptions, was the play of the front seven. That unit was absolutely unreal, it looked like it took teams concentrated efforts to get postitive yardage running the ball.
It's almost like they have 13 people on D. Man the hunger to get to that ball is insane. Thank you for the upload WH. I was 3 at the time of these games.
@headstrong420 Thats a pretty interesting comparison, though I think most would give the 97 squad the edge due to the team finishing undefeated that year. I'm pretty sure the 85 crew gave up fewer points though. Not positive .
@GoongalaGoongala i wanna say 1997 just because woodson is my favorite player in college and nfl but 85 was befor my time so im not to sure think our defense last year would make the top 5 lol
man i loved this 85 defense.what could have been if rob houghtlin misses that kick at iowa,and the offense is able to score in that monsoon at illinois(3-3 tie).4 points from bo winning a title.
