  • Thank you for taking the time to enjoy our video. Oak Harbor is a long way from Puerto Rico, but should you ever find your way back, please let us know. I would be happy to visit with you and to help you with any of your housing needs.

  • I lived there until I was 11. Watching this video I'm like "Holy shit I know where they are" and "I remember that place"

We always called Windjammer park "City Beach".

    I miss Oak Harbor :(

  • @nwmissy88 I do remember it being very beautiful, but an awful place to live. I still believe that my parents choosing to raise me there was the clearest sign that they never loved me.

  • im moving there nextmonth and i went to visit and it looks beautiful. my dads getting transferred to run the new renovations to the exchange on the base. i cant wait to live there

  • @grrcantfindname You will find that Oak Harbor is a great place to live. You will enjoy it. Please have your folks contact us if we can help with any of their housing needs. Take care.

  • i hit my first little league home run at the state tournament on the field it shows in this video.

  • @TheShazbot123 That is pretty cool. When did you do that. This year during one of the tournaments or has it been a while ago?

  • i lived there to for a long time

  • Great restaurants? Great shopping? The Oak Harbor I grew up was a one way dead end street, we always had to order from catalogs for everything because there was nothing you could buy there and the only fine dining was on the South End of the lsland, I haven't set foot there since 1990 but I find it hard to believed it's evolved that much in such a short period of time.

  • i love pak harbori currently live their and at 2:53 my house is behind those trees

  • I lived there a long while ago.

I used to run around the woods when I was 10.

Found new spots next to the sea, then trekked back home.

To this day, it was my favorite place I've ever lived.

  • Oak Harbor is a beautiful place - my parents live there now, and my husband and I were married there. Yes, it does have more of a retirement community feel, which is something to keep in mind if you're thinking of relocating with kids. But compared to larger cities it's a quiet, safe location, with a lot to offer if you're into outdoor recreation. Just be prepared to pay high for that choice real estate.

  • i wish it would snow like it did last year ive been in Oak Harbor washington for the past 16yrs. i remember when there wasnt much trafic and people here compared to now. =)

  • thank you, i needed this. i lived in oak harbor since i was a child. now that i am in the air force, i do no have the luxury of seeing my hometown. even though i am reduced to youtube to see videos, i was almost brought to tears. : ) thank you, truly let me re live oak harbor

  • yay oak harbor! but its always been city beach, not windjammer park

  • I remeber living there as a child i lived there from 1999- 2002. for my first and secong grade. i loved it there, so many childhood memories.haha

  • Thanks for taking the time to view the video. I have throughly enjoyed living here for the past 37 years also. Please stop by if you ever return. Take care.

  • I have been wanting to go back for so long already, maybe when i get to college and have time ill go up there to see how things have since i was a child.

  • @rickschutte Aww, I miss this place so much. -_-, A lot of memories were made here! My parents moved there back in the early 70s and my dad worked on base. Then had the nerve to move me all the way across the continent to Wash. D.C. 15 years ago! I'll tell anyone any day that I'd rather live over there than over here! I wanna go home.

  • check out the sk8 park

  • I'm moving back there when I can. I loved it there.

  • Whidbey Island is a great place to live and work. Please let us know when you decide to move back here and we will do everything we can to help you with your housing needs. Thanks for viewing our video.

  • Whoooa, it changed so much! When did they get a Office Max? That's insane! I miss it there, but Windjammer Park I cut my foot open on it when I was 6...bad memories, but yeah, that's the best town EVER!

  • Great video of the community. Thank you
