  • Long time ago, they were still young damn.^^

  • now thats a cool fuckin kid

  • It's insane that his voice was so deep on ball of destruction yet he was only this age-13.

  • @bedtimefordemocracy holy shit! i didn't know he was 13 when he did that :P

  • fuck. i miss sundays at CBs.

  • ... NYHC ...

  • Wow. I've read about this kinda stuff but always figured it was embellished folklore...but here's the proof!

  • wow freddy was young! the video doesnt even look that old.

  • wicked post

  • great old footage thanks for posting

  • Haha, Freddy, the 12 year old Skinhead. IT'S MY LIFE!!! This is awesome.

  • I believe this is the same recording on the first live at cbgb album they released

  • great stuff....little Freddy

  • I wonder who had the swazi shirt on....LOL

  • @deathcamps Where and when in the video?

  • @BrendanSFA

Hey Brendan, it looks like English Nick (or someone else from YDL) has something to that effect on. Freddy is on his shoulders and then you notice it more when he starts dancing on stage.

  • @deathcamps Looks like a Rock Against Communism shirt w/ the hammer&sickle logo

  • @BrendanSFA What do you mean where and when the fucking video is Freddy Madball as a kid, lol

  • @Biggity420 I don't think you understand what I was asking. I wasn't asking where and when the video was made... I know that. I posted this video and I'm in it. I was asking another one of the people who commented (user name: deathcamps) where and when in the video he saw someone wearing a swazi shirt.

  • @Biggity420 do you know how an internet message board works? this comes off douchey but i'm legit asking because i literally had no problem figuring out what he was responding to. just an observation.

  • @deathcamps im sure hes out of the closet and 100 dicks deep into his lifestyle by now

  • Wow that is some awesome footage u got. Kids back then were definitely more hardcore than these days. Kids these days has got it too easy. Thanks mate, cheers from Sydney!

  • how old is freddy?!!!!!!! what fucking legend man now this is hardcore!

  • @gambadude freddy is around 34-35 ish. im only 24 but i remember seeing madball when i was like 13 and 14. damn i wish alotta bands would bring the old school shit back.

  • Haha love this. Like a little hardcore mascot or something.

  • This was my first time at CBGBs. We followed AF from DC to Harrisburg to NYC for this show. The greatest weekend an 18 year old hardcore kid could've ever asked for. Thanks for the clip!

  • Do you have the rest of this show and can you post it? this show and record are classics.

  • this is dms

  • nice, thanks for posting

  • If there were a hardcore museum, this clip would absolutely need to be in it.

  • whooaa!,never new of any video footage of this,

if you,or anyone else has more footage of this particular show, and could hook me up with it,would ACE!!

  • The begining of an era.

  • this is the fucking coolest video i've seen in months... NYHC!

  • look at little freddy madball hes like 12...... bad ass fuckin vid thnx for posting..........this is a legacy

  • thats the real shit! freddy looks 12 yrs old

  • I was there. And it was epic.

  • Were there vocal overdubs on Live at CBGB? This video is awesome, but the vocals don't sound the same, especially Freddy...

  • for those keeping count... in addition to Af and soon to be Madball, on the side of the stage in the video were also members of Murphy's Law, Rest in Pieces, Krakdown, Sick of it All, SFA, Absolution Cro-Mags, YDL, Warzone, and probably some other bands I forgot.

  • @BrendanSFA

Was that Raybeez I could see with the black singlet in the background on stage? I would've been 7 years old during this time & both of these bands (AF, Madball) are still going hard. AF might not be the first hardcore band, but they helped mold this genre & hardcore wouldnt be hardcore without them.

  • @BrendanSFA yo is this Brendan..singer of SFA? I know you man...you used to always give me shit at CBGB's and kicked me out a couple times cause I always tried to sneak in booze (I was only 16)...until I came back from Marine boot camp... and after that, you gave me props and never let me pay at the door for ANY show up until 1999.LOL. You're the fuckin man bro.

  • @BrendanSFA This video is pure gold. I am from Ecuador. A friend of mine is Rob Echeverria’s (Rest In Pieces, Helmet, Biohazard) far cousin. I remember one summer he brought from NY Rest In Piece’s “Under My Skin”. He is probably one of the few people who still have this record on vinyl.

  • fuck this video rules

  • amen! NYHC for life!

  • Great piece of history! HC for life!

  • THAT IS CLASSIC WE WHERE ALL BABIES BACK THEN !!!!! FREDDY, RODGER, HARLEY,ALL NYHC L.E.S. CREW & WE STILL RULE
