  • Thanks for the video. Eblouissante looks very light on her feet; does that run the family? And she appears to have a very graceful gait. Her gallop looked effortless; could she have inherted her mother's big heart? I loved how she ran past her training partner, Silent Poetry. Best of luck with this lovely and talented filly.

  • I think your barn would make a good tv series. Not that I have any connections...

  • No horse could ask for a better life than in your barn, I am so blessed to have been able to have visited :)

  • John, How many ways can you make my day???? This was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! x0x0x0x0x0x0x0 from Maine :)

  • Haha Better luck next year Heaters. Also foreign Heat-fans can feel the pain...

I would love to be the towelboy for Team Shirreffs tho!

Thank you for this beautiful morning-session.

  • Thank you for giving us another small glimpse into the training routine. It gives us an opportunity to learn more about the horses as we follow them up to the races. I have so much admiration for your patience with handling them all - thank you!

  • Thanks, John. It's great to see Z's little sister. I also like those other names--Silent Poetry (that could have been a description of Zenyatta) and Bronze Beauty. Good luck with all of them. They are in the best of hands.

  • Thank you for these! I am really excited for Eblouissante. Wow I think I got that right!

  • @donkeyhoteeee: I love Zazu, too! Isn't she a beauty? She is owned by the Mosses, but is trained by the "other" JS, John Sadler (one of the pre-requisites for training a Moss horse, is that one must bear these initials.*)

    *joke

  • Don't you miss Zenyatta, John?

  • Excellent! Thank you so very much for allowing fans an inside view of thoroughbred training. You and Dottie are truly great ambassadors for the racing world. Am so looking forward to seeing how Eblouissante does on the track. I believe she's in the best possible care she could be. She is truly beautiful and I hope that she becomes a wonderful champion like her big sister Zenyatta. Thanks again to you and Dottie!!!!!

  • Thank you so much for posting these workouts! Fantastic to see the horses in their casual daily routines. I would love to see a Zasu workout, fell in love with her the first time I saw her! Bless you for all the goodness you and your team put into the world~

  • John: Thanks so much for posting this! And your French accent on Eblouissante is terrific! Keep that up & you'll be all set for a trip to Quebec!!!!! Abigail Anderson, Montreal, Canada

  • I was wondering if Eblouissante has shown her half-sister's affinity for Guiness---or is she not yet of legal drinking age ?

  • Mr. Shirreffs several of us would love a update on Wonderful Town if possible.....

You are such a kind patient trainer....thank you again for being you!

  • I love that this video was filmed on June 12th. Thank you, John Shirreffs, for truly providing the icing on the (birthday) cake! My candle wish would be good health and successful racing careers to all of these (many!) equine beauties. The most important wish has already been granted: a loving home with meticulous care, under the watchful and patient eye of a wonderful trainer and his dedicated staff. Thank you for these gifts from the heart! . "Silent Poetry" has stolen mine......

  • Thank you Mr. Shirreffs, what a great way to start the day. I love you videos thy always put a big smile on my face. Joy will always surround you.
