Because at this event it works like this.

Run One - Running start off berm close to audience.

Run Two - (If you make it past one) Running start from down inside the berm.

Run Three - No running start. You have to start at base of the hill right on the incline.

And if you notice most of the Vehicles that just sink are the one's on Run number 3.
