Governor Palin is actually more experienced than Obama. He rose to the top because of his inspiring speeches. When interviewed, he's not quite as impressive, is he?

I've said this all along...if this campaing was in 1860, without having to look good on TV, McCain's experience, character, intelligence and policies would shine forth like a star. Today, in our world that forms opinions on whether someone looks good on Entertainment Tonight, is a sad reason to vote for someone.

Sarah campaigned in Wasilla as a "fiscal conservative". During her 6 years as Mayor, she increased general government expenditures by over 33%. During those same 6 years the amount of taxes collected by the City increased by 38%. This was during a period of low inflation (1996-2002). She reduced progressive property taxes and increased a regressive sales tax which taxed even food. The tax cuts that she promoted benefited large corporate property owners way more than they benefited residents.

Governor Palin is an outstanding VP pick by McCain! To choose between a McCain/Palin ticket or an Obama/Biden one? I think I'd choose the honest pair, who I can trust. McCain/Palin won't change their beliefs with the polls. They won't talk about small town people with disdain. They're real. They're trustworthy. They have character and values. Palin is qualified for the job. She can lead this country on day one if McCain cannot. She has almost two years of gov. experience in Alaska and a BA in Journalism from Idaho. She is a hockey mom and pro-life. She is also a hunter and an NRA member. So what about the polar bears. They are in the way of oil pipelines. I know women will flock to her and McCain will get a large boost from woman voters. Plus she supported Pat Buccannan for president at one time. She is well qualified.

Ask anyone who works at Prudhoe Bay in the winter. When the ice fog comes in it's routine to have at least one polar bear attack. Workers are terrified to walk outside because it's easy to get lost in the fog and end up on the sea ice, where the bears await. It's never publicized, of course. How would they get anyone to work where it's always 60 below if they knew at least 10 people a month are killed by polar bears?

do some research on the womens rights movement - you will find out that womens rights were greatly improved by exactly what palin criticizes. Hillary was bringing attention to a problem - and palin calls her a whiner for it. And says it does people like her a disservice - when in fact this awareness raising is the reason palins political career is anywhere at all.
