I have a 5yr old daughter, I'm Italian and her dad is black. She has soooo much hair that it always has to be in some type of style. I can't cornrow for nothing, I can box braid though and put the beads on. My problem is I can never grab on as I'm going and when I try it turns into a knot instead of a braid lol. Any suggestions?

@Sexiiazhell13 When your are grabbing a piece of hair to add on don't just go straight to grabbing the next piece. Make sure you detangle the hair as you go with your finger, so gliding your fingers through the whole strand. At first it will seem forever but as you learn you will see your self doing it unconsciously and faster.

@kuchari97 I'm so glad I could help!! If I understand you correctly, you are asking if it is possible to braid hair that is about 5 cm long? The answer is DEFINITELY! :D It may be a little challenging if you are new at cornrowing hair, but it is definitely do-able ;)

@EKS696900 as long as you like, depending on how tight they were to begin with and how you maintain it while they're in. You can also wash your hair with braids in, so you don't have to worry about carrying a head of dirty hair. My customers usually come once a month, but they tend to take the braids down a week before coming to see me again.

how did you end the braid? tie a knot or tie with a rubber band?

@MrSuRaJ931 It depends on the texture of the hair and the style you are going for. I usually put beads on the end with a rubber band to secure it. If not, for kinkier hair, a rubber band may not be necessary. For people with looser curls or straight hair, a rubber band may be needed (the kind that doesn't pull out the hair)
