That's pretty cool your coach was able to share the Haka from New Zealand with the players. It would a been even more cool if it was done on the football field in uniform...:)
FYI, the team didn't post the videos, the fans did.. Why cant you just let it go? Whether you like it or not, football, rugby, hell even soccer teams do the haka everywhere.. Im done tryin to explain this to you, but our team did the haka with the best intentions.. Don't call my team rubbish, when you dont know anything about us.. thank you.
maybe not, but we did it.. cant take it back now.. the haka the team does now is different, so let it go.. as for this one, it's special to me, my teammates, our school, and our community..
The coach that taught them the Haka is a native of Hawaii. The team itself did not do it knowing it was wrong. The coach just thought maybe he'd share his culture. So don't blame the team.
here i'll show you a example this is american school doing the haka read the comments see how much respect they have been given for learning a haka and all maybe you will understand where i'm coming from.
@331SLAYER dude the only reason its rubbish cause the words and action are wrong. i don't mind at all if you are doing a haka but get it right before you go public. i have nothing against american doing the haka. yeh show some respect please thats all we maori ask for when doing it. i only diss on people not showing any respect to my culture. other then that if you guys got it right i wouldn't of been dissing i would have said something positive.
@superbill3001 dude your a punk, you dont know shit about this team.. first of all, our coach was new and he's samoan. we never asked to learn the haka, he taught us it. We showed respect to our coach and our community by doing it. Sure we needed to get better but that was our first year doing it. We had a good season, and the haka will always be special to this team, because of our coach. Quit being a troll, it's not like were some kids that thought it was cool and imitated it..
@superbill3001 you dont know about this team. We had plenty of polynesians come from the islands to our school as performers, they enjoyed the haka we did for them. so why dont you show us respect. I seen you trolling all over haka videos, get a life, and learn about the videos before you go commenting them..
@BasedKidd you do know the haka is maori right not samoan? if he was from samoa then he should of shown you the samoan one. for the record i only troll cause of the lack of respect you guys show my culture.
its like me wiping my ass with the american flag thats the respect you guys show. i have no problem with you guys doing it but d it properly and make you own up. the haka you guys do has nothing to do with your community, team or school. thats why you make it up which represents you guys
@superbill3001 your not getting the point... I just said he taught us this, in his first year at our school... The haka they do now is different, like you said, they made up their own type of haka which represents them, but this one here, is our first year doing it.. And your american flag reference is straight bs.. Did we do it to make your culture look bad? did we do it to make fun of the haka? No.. We didn't.. You taking a flag to the ass is straight disrespect.. We did this out of respect..
@BasedKidd bro i've taught kids younger then you guys and they do it better and they weren't maori, i showed them how its done how to really do it. you guys were just showing via youtube. doesn't matter if it was your first year or not you guys just went along with it.
as for trolling i done it about 6 months ago look at the date, next time you learn a culture or any sort of cultural dance make its someone from that ethnicity cause learning a maori haka from samoan isn't a way to start off.
@BasedKidd thats cool you guys have learn and made you own keep it up but reason i'll dis is cause you guys go public on it for show thinking its cool like most americans do. (i know thats the reason they ask me to teach them cause they thought it was cool) i told them no i ain't teaching you cause of that.
as for that first year excuse don't bother using that you guy have not taken the time to learn it properly words and action only few schools in the USA do it properly and are respected.
@superbill3001 I agree with you in thinking we should have learned it better and that we couldve added our own style in it.. I understand where your coming from, about the whole people taking your culture and using it without knowing anything about it.. I understand that.. But you have to understand that that haka does mean something to our community, our team, and school.. Keep trolling if you want, but this team's haka is special to us, and we did it with the utmost respect..
Thats freaking aweswome!!!
