Great actor. I love his realness. He gives all of his characters this avaragness... I mean, he isn't that one in a dozen kinda actor. No hollywood-beauty actor like tom cruise and his bunch. He is one of the REAL ACTORS out there. I like him for the same reasons I love Paul Giamatti in American Splendor, or Sideways...

I first saw him in a bit part "When a Man Loves a Woman" and I kept asking, "god, who IS that guy?" He was just wonderful to watch in all his scenes. I have seen all his movies since then and he just keeps getting better and better. What a treat to see him stand and receive the Oscar for Capote.

Philip's definitely on a roll these past few years; just seen Savages and Devil; he's great in both, just as entire ensemble is really. Lovely to see someone peak like this.
