SEIYA!!!! Aww... why couldn't Usagi stayed with Seiya!?! I've dedicated to draw and write a lot of SeiyaXUsagi.

Don't get me wrong, we all know that Mamoru and Usagi are meant to be but that's just pretty lame that the two HAS to be together. It's all destiny and I kinda find it unfair for both.

But I really love Seiya and Usagi to be together.. they had a better chemistry.

You guys are just being silly, you have to remember Seiya HAD A PRINCESS! Remember? The WHOLE reason for the series was he was searching for her. Yes he loved Usagi but Usagi has always and will always be faithful to Mamo-chan. Also, I agree that Mamoru was much sweeter to her in the manga but even in the anime he would risk his life for her on a daily episode, not to mention when her died protecting Serenity in his Endymion days. Well DiC was just dumb PSSHHH haruka and michiru cousins i think not AND those dumb names who cares the dub sucked i think they need to seriously dub NO edits or cuts just the original script. And a big part of it was since the dubbers were changing so much they raised the price. It was because in America people are afraid to show lesbians or gays or anything else for that matter because they think it is "inappropriate" FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! it isnt like they are showing sex on the TV

DO you know how many AMERICAN fans there are of the ORIGAINAL JAPANESE sailor moon? A LOT. I am positive the show would have gotten good ratings AND I hate DiC because they also cut so much out of the first season finale it didnt make sense. They never said what happened to the senshi and they didnt show them dead so you just get confused. AND THOSE VOICES! Usagi sounds like a weird old lady and luna sounds like a weird old BRITISH lady. Originally it was explained that the sailor scouts genders coincide with the male/female attributes assigned to their respective planets. Since the stars diddnt have gender assigned their scouts are male in human form but take on female aspects in battle form *rolls eyes( OK its official I am a sailor moon geek!!! Love the video!!!

I know about what Naoko-san said, just saying the people who designed the anime used other factors to explain how they differentiated from the magna, where the stars basically just dressed in drag (as opposed to actually switching genders like they did in the anime).

well in a magazine it said they made them switch genders because people had a problem with seeing usagi as a lesbian and i was saying that in both the manga AND THE ANIME ALL sailot senshi are FEMALE there are no male senshi. so it has nothin to do with their "attributes assigned to their planets" it is just that they disguised them self in the male gender to more easily find their princess. in the manga it was not physical but in the anime they used magic to physically disguise as males.

Your argument about people having problems, would have had weight were we talking about a series translated to the US market, however since the stars were never released there, it holds no weight.

Naoko-san herself was surprised at the gender-switch made in the anime, and it does not reflect the story in the magna. The anime writers had some of their own concepts in the mix, as you can see.

We are discussing two different things that while distantly related arent really so lets stop now.
