@MrThembones Metal isn't something to deserve to listen to. Metal is a big FUCK YOU to everyone metalhead or not, just some people go with it and join in the big FUCK YOU or they get crushed by it. Let the posers listen to metal, let them go to the concerts, let them try to make some shitty metalcore band, but in the end true metal knows posers from the real rockers. Guys. Iron Maiden is pure beast, hands down. Lamb of God are alright, but their best stuff is just a Pantera rip off anyway. But we aren't here to talk about Iron Maiden or Lamb of God or Pantera for that matter. We are here to talk about Candlemass in their early days, making reference to changes that they have under gone and make comparisons to then and now. As for My Dying Bride, they are not like the Doom Metal of old. They have slowly crossed into the modern metal we all despise.

Only problem with more modern metal is it is tainted with that "pop culture" bullshit, I would imagine this is where My Dying Bride fails...

Lamb of God are more metal than Iron Maiden, Maiden are a bunch of sad old gits who play hard rock at best. I wish they never existed so I wouldn't have piles of Iron Maiden stickers from Metal Hammer. I've moved on to much more in depth musical tastes such as Ihsahn and My Dying Bride.
