One thing I struggle with in this game is the really open maps, like the one in the jungle. I can flank to the damned edge of the map, hide in the shadows, run drop if I hear someone shooting and someone will always easily find me and shoot me. I can't do well in that damned map ever.

the minimap is most usefull when you are piloting jets! air radar is the best upgrade for jets and is 200% better in a dogfight than without it! (check my vids on my channel and add my account to your friends list if u want :D )

the problem with switching kits is that normally, supports give ammo to engineers who destroy tanks, and medics revive them if they die in the process. i don't see why i should switch kits, engineers have to play their role just as any other class

i wanted to share this tactic first of all i play with friends who like different classes and i realize that this tactic is less effective if one of the players is missing this is for rush

1. leave your recon guy out side at a vantage point

2. then the assault and engineer and support clear the area

3. the support will then plant explosives in case you get over run

4. engineer will keep a look out for tanks and vehicles while the recon snipes and enemy's on foot

5. assault plants the bomb

6 win

Well yeah, the basic idea of recon is to stay away from the fight, aggressive recon is done with rifles such as the MK 11 or SKS, using shorter-range scopes, or role-specific scopes, such as the IRNV. You wanna run around with the thing, go play CoD.

I definitely need to do this more. Uh that is pick my classes tactically. I do go back and forth but usually only between 2 classes and what I feel like playing usually dictates how I choose. I could tell that this was a bad idea when you started talking about adapting to the situation through the class you pick. Hahah. I have been playing BF3 since the release date and I have not put down the engineer kit. I have close to 800 kills with the G36C now due to my over usage and determination to get the service star 2 for that class. I feel like Engineer is the most balance class in ranges and situations. Suppression you say? RPG! Tanks? RPG. Infantry? RPG/G36C. Airborne vehicles? Steiga. (spelling is off).The mini-map comment is very true though. I had a team mate run right pass a guy that just took a shot.

TO see everyones situational awareness of the minimap, jump in the MUAV for the recon spot absolutely everyone you can see and watch as people just run straight past them ignoring the orange on their mini-map, if they're out of LOS and proceed to get killed by the other player lol.

it frustrates me to no end how noone is aware that the mini-map exists it doesn't really seem much point to use the suppressors this early in the game since not many people check the map.

Also another way to help out your team, get lots of points and help get to the top of the leaderboard is to drop ammo & med packs for your team! I play on Xbox and I think I've mostly been playing with COD players that don't about them...woof.
