Steve, you really should be wearing safety glasses when you operate your table saw (1:20). A lot of people, I'm sure, watch your videos (as I do) and may get the impression it's ok to do what you do, especially your younger viewers. Other than that, and sometimes your off-the-wall humour, your shows are pretty entertaining. Keep up the good work and be safe (but put your glasses on dude).
You may be a big fan of lacquer (6:20) but it seems you are a bigger fan of beer (many videos support this belief). (Bravo for you ! !) - I like beer ! ! ! - I am a big fan of cheaper beer. - Cheap beer streaches the dollar by maximizing the purchase of consumable materials. - Yes, sometimes this may increase the cost of wood supplies due to mistakes made but I have learned, Ya Gotta Take The Bad With The Good.
We were trying to make it based on your technics, but we have had problems mounting the frame cutted in 45 degrees. I mean, in our case, the pieces of the frame were pulled one against the other one by the screw, so the adjustment was not good enough precise.
In other words, what are you using for mounting the frame, nails, screws, just glue, or what?
Thank you very much, and sorry for my english, but If I'm lucky, your game is also gonna be used in Chile!
nice but u should put a piece of plexi glass ontop of the enitre finished labrynth with a holt and the start so you can drop the ball into the start and you cant cheat. ;) Also put a wood cup and the hole the ball comes out when you lose so it doesnt come out and roll under a couch or something. VERY nice tho
you know how you cut the sides at 45 degrees angles could you do like a puzzle effect so it is like 2 prongs on one side and a slit on the other ill post some pictures if it dosnt make sence.
i am not in anyway critizing you but when applying spray on laquer it is best to use about a 6 inch maximum distance from the wood that prevents overspray and makes the applying wax with steel wool a little bit easier and less stressfull but great idea making one tomorrow as soon as i can! KEEP ON POSTING PROJECTS I LOVEM
lol the weather is never on my side, i got a heater. I spent an hor in my shop two days before Christmas and when i walked out 2.5 inches of show had fell. Thats England for you.
my brother is starting a wood refurnishing "company" he's turning 10 on 12/25 :) i'm gonna upload some of his videos he's made sometime... its so cute, he tries to make a good informative video but he really doesn't know too much about the craft. i show him a lot of your videos which have inspired him to keep working. this one is a bit too complicated for the tools he has (only a tool set and a sander like the one you used in this vid) but once he makes some money he's gonna buy more :D
Tell him to keep at it. Working wood really ain't about the tools, but rather the inspiration. But have that sander is a great start. I think woodworking mostly revolves around sanding!
Thank you for sharing!

Hey Steve, I'm almost done with this project but I can't find a ball bearing anywhere. Do you know of any stores that might sell them?
TheDeltaFlight 3 months ago
@TheDeltaFlight Check with a hardware store. Amazon also sells them.

I get a kick out of "it's really cold, it's like 50 degrees". How many times did I go into my shop in December and have it be 20 degrees....
50 degrees you don't even need to heat up your glue!

Hi Steve,
I can understand your pain too.
We must also work here in Corsica, with some heater when the sun disappears more than 2 days !!! ;)
By the way, Thanks for your vids, it's always a pleasure to watch such instructive projects

ah, do you ever do request videos or just personal projects? if you do accept requests, possibly a "limited tool" project would be amazing :D
