You know what - I didn't by into Tare Zameen and whatever. As someone who was dyslexic and now have a positive career in accounting - I am quite ashamed of how the movie folks & Aamir "dramatized" dyslexia the bollywood way. Personally dyslexia is nothing compared to Autism. And as for Aamir - if every child is special, then by all meanS, please acknowledge your child with Jessica Hines.

You don't believe there are different levels of both conditions??? There are people with mild autism who get through life very comfortably and those who have to change their lifestyle completely..same with dyslexia..i have a friend who has it and its impossible to tell unless you see him write something. He's quite successful at what he does though...the movie also shows that with the right approach the condition shouldn't affect life too much etc. the drama has to be there for marketing reasons

Its fine that Aamir Khan has acted in the movie, directed it and even produced it but the real work is done by the creative director and writer of the movie Amole Gupte. No movie does well without a good story and Amole has done a great job. Also the kid who plays a dyslexic child (Darsheel Safary) is the real star of the movie and great music written by Prasoon Joshi.

amir directed it, Director is the back bone of a movie, it does matter how good or bad the script is but only to certain extent, Dhoom had a shit script but came out as a block buster mainly coz of its direction, beleive it or not amir is a perfectionist :)

well imranbsb, in that case Lagaan was directed and written by Ashutosh Gowariker but Aamir got most of the attention...while Ashutosh has done a great job. Secondly, his other movie Mangal Pandey: The Rising was a biggest flop..as the story wasn't appealing. If the story is bad, the movie doesn't do well. I don't think Dhoom had a bad script but it's your OPINION that it wasn't good.
