  • you should get the audio book "wherever you go ,there you are" by Dr Kabat-zin. It is a wonderful book. I am curently trying to use mindfulness meditation to conquer addiction to pain killers and deal with the pain.

  • I'm just testing out with mindfulness after seeing Jon Kabat Zinn's Google talk - I really like this guy, you can tell he practises what he's teaching :) question though: you're supposed to observe your thoughts right? But when I try to do that I end up inside that thought, thinking, or other times it completely disappears, is that supposed to happen?

    Just saw you question after one year... What's important about being mindful of mind states is to know they are impermanent. Yes, we will get lost in them but when you come back into the present moment - just know you have been thinking... Thoughts come and thoughts go.... Just thoughts..
